Exclamation Feature request: support for https://www.xfreehd.com

This one may be slightly tricky.
ATM, I can select 'download' on individual videos if I have logged in but the browser download is unreliable and lacks descriptive names, being numeric.

So, I select download on the page, kill the download in safari when it starts and 'copy download link' from the DL entry which results in JDL scheduling it as the numeric.
I then copy the descriptive name from the page and paste it into the Linkgrabber entry before starting it.
This works most of the time.

The trick is that the download link seems to change over an unpredictable time - sometimes even when the DL is still happening.
This results in partially downloaded files, of course because the DL link is no longer valid [especially with larger files or those further down in the dL queue, waiting.].

Then I have to notice, go back, reload the original page,, grab the DL link in the same way and select 'change URL' in the main window, paste the name in, and force-restart the transfer.
That fixes things, usually [sometimes I have to do the latter a second time... aaaarrrggghh.]

Sorry to be so verbose, folks but there's really no other way to be accurate.
The whole thing is a PITA and would be better handled programmatically.

It's a shame because there's some good free stuff on the site.

Pls respond and let me know if the clever developers can help with a suitable plugin.

Thanks for a terrific application.
Regards to all.

Many many thanks, Jiaz.

I hope you don't have trouble with it- especially 'the disappearing download link' business.
And, I hope my voluminous request post helps with that.
The whole thing is a serious pain to do 'manually'.

@VADAR: the update is live since 29.04 and just tested, plugin working fine here
In case you have issues, please provide example link and a debug log
Enable Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.debugmodeenabled and restart JDownloader, reproduce the issue and then create a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here

Thanks, Jiaz.

But, xfreeHD.com does not appear in my list of Plugins [under Settings for Build date May 10, 2022].
Shouldn't it be there?

Thanks, Jiaz.
Almost all pages work just fine as far as I can tell [No interrupted/incomplete downloads yet. :]

ONE strange thing: I included a Japanese named file MP4 in the usual way and it was completely ignored by JD.
The filename/page was **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
There are quite a few similarly named files there as a visit to that link will confirm.

I haven't done the Log thing yet.
I suspect the problem may be integrally related to the way JD parses the copied HTTP link for processing rather than with the plugin so it would be a problem with any download anywhere.

What do you think?

Thanks again for the great assistance - much appreciated and an example to many others in support and development.

It's because those japanese characters will be html-encoded and then won't match our current plugin pattern anymore.
This means we will need to update it accordingly.

I have a quick workaround for you for such links:
Change the link and replace "/video/" with "/embed".
You will be able to add- and download it then but the filename might be wrong.

Many thanks, PSP.
I wasn't fussed about the problem merely puzzled that it existed. [I don't think much of the Jap promo offerings...]
Thank you for the explanation and the suggested workaround.

You folks are superstars.

PS did you actually mean replace "/video/" with "/embed/".
I won't care about the filenames because I can't read them anyway and would replace them with <filenumber>Japanese 1,<filenumber>Japanese 2, etc.

An update:
There are a few pages at that site which appear normal but the links/media show as 'Unavailable' in Linkgrabber immediately/
e.g. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
The media is obviously 380135.mp4 and that webpage still works and will download but the page shows as 'uA' in JD2.
Two others I've encountered:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
and
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Strange... all the others worked fine.
I'm sorry, I haven't been able to do the log thing for you.
I hope you'll be able to look at it locally anyway and thought you'd like to know that the site isn' completely working with JD.

Thanks for your help.

@VADAR: the links in question are not available for free. "This is a private video. You must be subscribers or friends". I've enabled account support (untested) and updated detection of this for proper error handling.
wait for next plugin update and try to add your account and if that works, it should work as expected. In case account login doesn't work, I either need a debug log or username/password (send to support@jdownloader.org)

Thank you for looking into that, Jiaz.
I think I am a subscriber to those folks -My browser would have automatically logged in at the start of the whole session.
I didn't notice the requirement/didn't get that message, probably for that reason.
Now I have to figure out how use my login/PW with the mooted plugin/JD. [Never done that.] If I can dig it out of my browser - as with everyone, I am drowning in bloody passwords.

Fortunately, 'subscribing' is free so it has been my habit to simply do that whenever I encountered the message with a Private video.[It's a simple button push]

Thank you as always for the excellent responsive help.

@VADAR: You have to add your account in JDownloader, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...remium-account
In case login works, untested, then you should be able to fetch those videos as well

Jiaz' changes also fixed the "filename problem" for embed URLs as both of those issues were connected to each other:)
