Default visible links on thread hover for everyone

If you hover over a thread and there's links in the first few lines of the first post the links will show, even for guests. In the thread they are hidden from all but supporters.

It's a known issue along with couple other flaws which allow non supporters access to the links. I'll ask the forum admin too take another look at it!

thanks

Hiding links is performed using the vBulletin anti-Spam/anti-profanity feature. This does not work well.

If you want to hide a link, use a DLC and provide a link to the DLC in your message. Jiaz (and some other supporters) can read the link from the DLC.

What's a DLC in this case?

Personally I'm not worried about my security, I never post infringing links but a lot of users do. Judging by history when many people post infringing links on a site that doesn't control/discourage it they go after the site instead of the individuals. With ACTA, SOPA, PIPA like laws in the world who knows what could happen to a download tool (that has legitimate uses) with all sorts of infringing links on it's forum.

We run this addon for multiple reasons, the main one is to prevent virus/worm spreading via hyper links. There many worm type of accounts every day still, which try to spread linked content which is usually a container for virus/worm. The other main reason is to prevent/limit the amount of advertising.
