Check your cfg folder for downloadlist, linkcollector backup files. JDownloader creates them in case something fails with loading the list files.

Go to your JDownloader cfg folder and check if there are downloadList and linkcollector Zip/Backup files. Without those you cannot restore/rescue anything.

Can you provide a screenshot of those files?
Are there any backup files in cfg folder?

This installation never run before. All files are from today, no sign of any previous run.
Either you've started another installation of JDownloader or are mixing up differen installations.
How did you start JDownloader before? Sure you started a standalone/portable version?

That version / cfg folder is fresh started. This has nothing to do with update of JDownloader.
The complete cfg folder is fresh, no trace of any run before. I guess you are not running the same portable version

I had the same issue. The download list dissapeared. Downloads are still in the folder.
Find the screenshot of the jdownloder cfg folder attached.

Screenshot shows that there are no other link lists available. To me it looks like a different installation than the one you've started. That cfg folder does not belong to a *previous* used installation
