Question Does JDownloader store stuff on C: during downloads?

And if yes, where is it writing to exactly? Is it configurable? If not I'll need to make a symlink.

I've already configured the Download Location to another disk (and confirmed the files of each Package are getting saved there) but C:\ space is still getting consumed while downloading.

Unless it's Firefox eating up my C:\ while having many tabs opened... but I doubt it. I closed a bunch of tabs and it's still dwindling down to 0MB free, so... hmmm, closing JDownloader didn't free up space but if its using temporary space for downloads I wouldn't expect it to clear them up/cancel ongoing downloads until space actually runs out.

@Noodler128: JDownloader does not create temp files but store the download files directory at final destination. also cfg folder holds all lists/accounts/settings.
see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...olders-cleanup
if c: space is getting consumed, check firewall/av as they might create copy of large downloads for later scan. you can use filemonitor tool to check what files are written and what application does write it

Also please know that changing download folder will only affect new added links. Existing links will stay untouched

Okay thanks, I'll have to check in to other possible causes.

Edit: It ended up being Firefox, not sure why lol. Closing additional tabs freed up 1.5GB of space on C:\. Is pretty neat that Windows remains mostly stable when free space on C:\ hits 0%, Firefox kinda breaks though as it's unable to cache things on disk.

I've just now used Symbolic Links to move the contents of AppData\Roaming\Mozilla and also AppData\local\Mozilla to another drive so that Firefox no longer consumes all available C:\ space when opening many browser tabs.
