linkcrawler rules "tester"
good morning ,
I recently discovered the existence of <link crawler>, and without external help I doubt that I would have succeeded in reaching the desired result. While trying to understand what and how to do, I find in the "link grabber filter" the possibility of inserting a "url test" to test the filters set before saving them, so I was wondering if it was possible to have a similar function somewhere ? now to add a new rule : Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Search for "link crawler rules" --> Edit "my" rules I wondered if it was possible in the future to foresee something like this : Settings --> Advanced Settings -->clik icon "link Crawler edit" (or manager , or something) get to a new window with - space in which to insert the code of the new rule - space for "url test" with "test / run test" button ---> ( pressed opens a window showing which links / objects would be found) - buttons : (exit / cancel) (save ---> add the new rules to the existing "link crawler rules" ) so as to test the rules and the change of values on the test url , in a similar way to the "link grabber filter" [or by chance a GUI - external application, similar already exists?] |

I don't see this happening anywhere in the next few ... years
These rules are already designed for advanced users. I recommend the following for maximum testing before you add rules: 1. Grab some kind of (online-) tool to easily edit json e.g.: jsoneditoronline.org 2. Test your Regular expression before you use them in a rule e.g. with: regex101.com Keep in mind that in the JD rules you need "\\." instead of "\." which is different from what regex101 expects. 3. Check your JDownloader logs if something goes wrong or not as expected. You can clearly see whether your rule even gets triggered or not. I could of course also create a ticket for your suggestion but I can almost gurantee you that it will never be completed ... -psp-

Ook.
ticket ... honestly I don't know what to say (whether to do it or not), for me it's not "essential"; there will certainly be much more urgent and problematic-necessary plugins / bugs etc.. . it was just a suggestion / idea, if it is rejected it doesn't matter, just know that it has been read-evaluated by competent people is enough for me. |

Okay I won't open a ticket for now.
I will add help articles regarding usage of the packagizer in the future. -psp-
