Default Bug when file name changed?

I try to find out why happening. But I think its bug:

Normally when download file and extract, it shows Extraction OK.
But when file name has changed, it extracts correct, but not show Extraction OK. It show "Finished".
Also this is when file name is CAPS and in JDownloader is is no caps.

I don't know why rename. It's not manual. The operating system rename when file name already exist. And I think Jdownloader does not notice.

Hello. It still happen. But not replicate.

Problem is: Extraction status not display correct in Download list.
Not always but only sometimes.
Most times it show "Extraction OK" when extraction finished succesful.

But sometimes it show "Finished" but extraction log show Succesful.
Even have in extraction log "Failed" but download list show "Finished". But it must show Error Extraction when extraction failed.

So problem is: Status after extraction not correct in download list sometimes. But why? I don't know.

You must have error in update status logic.

:w00t: I think I solved:

When in download list file is 2x then it update wrong package.
I give example:

I download package abc before 1 month and keep in download list.
When I download other with same name abc today it thinks it is package from before and update earlier item in list.
But it must update item of today.

So it not check correctly what item it extract.

So it must not only check name but also id or something to update correct list item.

Hello,
But why? Ok I say it again.
I don't know if 100% reproduce but I think.

Here is problem again:

1. I download file and extract automatical. In download list status goes from Finished to Extraction OK.
2. I download other file and extract automatical. In download list status still is Finished. But extraction log gives: Successful.

Okay? So problem is: Status not correct from second file after extraction when first file is still in download list.

I think problem is when I download different second file but with same name like first file and first file is in downloadlist.

For reproduce please make:

1. Put automatic extraction on
2. Put in link grabber: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
3. Put password: 123
4. Let download
5. Let extract

It must show "Extraction OK", right?

Now follow:

1. Remove archive downloaded from download frolder
2. Remove file extracted.
3. Put in linkk grabber: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
4. Put password 123
5. Let download
6. Let extract

Now watch.
It must be now that status of second file is keep "Finished".
Now look extraction log it must say "succesful". So status in downloadlist is wrong it must be "Extraction OK"

Why is this? Ithink because same name (also with upper case and lower case). Jdownlowder must think that second file same file like first file and change status of first file instead.
Proof is when there is error extract with second file then status of first file change to "Extraction Error" but status of second file keeps at "Finished".

So understand now? Sorry for confuse but I think this is what the the problem is now.

No. I have tried again. Both link work good and download and extract. No error.

But if error first file no problem. Start with second file and after do extract first file. Then extraction error is show at first file in download list not at second file.

@psp:

I've had this situation in the past several times too:

Two or more packages with different names contain the same named archives, which have different contents. Then only the first archive is downloaded and extracted, but not downloaded archive in package 2 shows the extraction log from archive in package 1.

I have prepared two different named packages, both contain the same named archives. Both archives contain different files (hope ul.to is no problem for you to test):

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** and **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Pls try to download and extract both in one jD2 session. They contain different named files with different contents in same named archives.

Edit:
When downloaded in different jD2 sessions and extracted manually, the second package/archive is downloaded/extracted correctly (and different from first archive), but shows the extraction log from package 1.

Log ID is here: 30.06.20 11.39.27 <--> 30.06.20 11.48.35 jdlog://9809025302851/

Edit2:
The second time to perform this test to produce Log both archives were downloaded and extracted correctly in contrast to the first try when I wrote the post, but there was only one extraction log from the last extraction showing for both archives.

Good you can reproduce.
But I think you must first delete first file after download and then download second.

I have experienced in the past that both archives can be downloaded because package names are different and I choose to download everything in different subdirectories with the package name. If you don't download in different subdirectories then it is true that you have to delete the first archive before you can download the second one.

But in both cases only one of the same named archive files gets extracted automatically. I can extract the second one manually using the context menu entry "Archive -> Extract now". In this case the extraction logs of both archive extraction operations are the same, in fact there is only one extraction log file generated in the %localappdata%\JDownloader 2.0\logs\extracting subdirectory. This extraction log file is shown for both archives in context menu "Archive -> Show extraction log".

Yes I put in same folder. But I think my log is correct seperate for each file.

Can add: This problem maybe makes new problems. I have found out here: https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...postcount=1471

Condition for error is almost same. I think method 'archive.getExtractionLog()' is reason for error. It not check, if log is log of correct file but use log for processing.
So method 'archive.getExtractionLog()' not reliable to parse log.

I think you must change and add use of unique file id like file hash, so correct file and log can always identified.

I sent a message to Appwork about this on Monday, though I haven't heard back yet.
They are the ones that code the Eventscripter function and maintain archive extractor, by the sounds of it there is some underling issues re: filenames _2
