Is it possible to extract multiple files at once?
I couldn't think about a better title, sorry
My question is: Is it possible to extract multiple files at once? My download speed time is above the average and I have a pool with multiple HDDs. The thing is, JDownloader's extractor module (based on 7zip, best extractor around) seems to use only one thread to extract files and it can't keep up with my download time. I started a 10TB download (about 13000 files) on sunday and the download was finished 5 hours ago, but I still have almost 4000 files waiting for extraction. I have a 'good' computer, 32gb ram and 12 threads available. My read speeds are fast and my write speeds go around 300mb/s. it isn't much, but right now the extractor module can handle only 30mb/s and my CPU, RAM and HDD Pool usage are very low. Even when I'm downloading, my download speeds go around 50MB/s, and my HDD Pool never goes above 40% usage, while downloading and extracting files. I believe that unfortunately 7zip is culprit here, but a 'workaround' would be enabling more extractor jobs to run at once. Is there a way to tweak the Archive Extractor module to extract more files at once? I couldn't find anything searching for 'Extraction' under Advanced Settings Thanks :) |

Hi
believe the extraction module is limited to a single thread, with the rest queued. Just had a quick look at the advanced settings, there is no reference to thread so I'd say its locked with no user preferences. There is an advanced settings for priority Extraction.cpupriority. Make sure its on High fyi: there are many extraction tickets outstanding https://svn.jdownloader.org/projects...d_on&group_by= raztoki
