If you can download the files with your browser, something is blocking jD. I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max. Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

If you can download the files with your browser, then I recommend the following steps :-

1) If you've virus software, please un-install it and reboot your computer. It's possible you need special removal software and registry cleaners to remove the virus.

2) If you've a firewall in your router please un-install the firewall on your computer and reboot your computer.

I have the same problem here.
Some times it bring me the "connection lost 5 minuted to reconnect" what is the reason of that problem appears?

I see that problem at filesonic, fileserve, rapidshare and wupload premium accounts.

So what i can do?
I try ti lower my max. connections to 1 but if i do that then i have VERY LOW speeds at any host except rapidshare so...
I make max. conn. -> 10 and max. dwnls -> 1.

So please tell me what i can do to solve that problem.

I use the latest jdownloader stable edition because at nightly edition the dlc creation and shutdown plug in DOESN'T WORK at windows 7 64bit ultimate.

So can anyone suggest me a solution?

I use the microsoft security essentials but i try even i completely uninstall it with the same results at the jdownloader.

Is there any solution to make creation of dlc and shutdown plug in on nightly edition to work so i try the nightly edition if that problem remains.

THANKS.

Cool

Please read post #2. If that doesn't work please read post #4.

What about a complete and detailed log?

I think it's better to use more simultaneous downloads than to use more connections per download because jD has no dynamic chunking.

These recommendations are the same for the stable and the test version of jD.

change your max connections to 2 and increase max dls instead

We talk about it via chat and i tell you that ALREADY do that to my desktop and still the error/problem remains.

With the InternetDownloadManager why i DON'T have any that kind of errors?

Why Don't jdownloader use dynamic chunjs like IDM that don't have any problem at all...

The only - of the idm is that don't have the features that jdownloader has.

So still we don't know what is the cause of that problem.

You got:
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
Firewall or proxy may have caused it.

In our chat conversation I told you to send log files containing errors for all of your premium downloads ( all downloads which fail with max connections @5 or 4) but you insisted on sending logs containing wupload problems only. Well anyway wupload has been failing on me to, this has been happening all day long > 4 year JDownloader user here so I am %100 positive that this error comes from wupload itself and if you insist on not sending us log files which contain errors for filesonic rapidshare etc. the same situation applies to you > the problem is wupload.

I send you a lot of logfile already.
And because i see that you can see my premium account details like login and password of MY PREMIUM ACCOUNTS on the logfile i must re-thing about to send another logfile.

And already tell you that i have problems with connection lost even with 2 max connections on my desktop that now i completely uninstall/delete the program because it has a lot of errors.

I can understand you don't trust the jD Team, but I've never seen any complaints about account abuse.

Why are you still talking about a "Max. Con." option different from 1? Set it to 1 and Reset the affected downloads.

IDM probably supports dynamic chunking but one day jD will have that feature as well. IDM isn't a free program.

Already do that for testing and it download it normal WITHOUT any connection lost.
As the 1 max connection you say if i do that i NEVER reach the max download speed limit of my connection 1.1mb/sec so....

I must at least choose 4 max. connection to reach the max download speed of my isp.

What exactly do the firewall on any router like the linksys wag200g pstn i have?

I'm talking about un-installing the potential firewall on your computer, while you already have one in your router. If you don't have one in your router I would first install another firewall on your computer before removing the old one.

setup firewall/Av correct because
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
are typical firewall/av issues

dynamic chunks will come with one of the next major updates

@fits79

If you've removed the firewall on your PC and there's still something blocking jD I would also look for ad blockers.
