Default Downloading Problems

Hello everybody,

I used to use JDownloader for a long time especially for downloading from RapidShare, Hotfile, Oron and so many other websites. But unfortunately, the last three weeks I faced many difficulties in downloading from those websites.
Some of these problems are:
1. downloading like 30% or 45% from the file and then stopped and after a while it started downloading again but from the beginning.

2. I could not be able to download from Oron at all.

By the way, I did not change anything in my PC or my internet connection settings and everything is fine and works properly except the JDownloader. And to make sure I tried to use it in another PC and the same problem occurred to me.

Please tell me if there is any solution to this problem.

Please note, I downloaded the last JDownloader from this website and I updated to the last one.

Could you download via browser? Log and example links might be needed.

Hi again,

Yes I can download via browser and it is faster than downloading via JDownloader.

Another thing I forgot to mention it: I used to download movies via JDownloader and it was amazing and better than downloading movies via Torrent client.

For example, I could not be able to download such a movie from Netload.in
and these are the URLs:
..... netload.in/dateiesjyo3FAzE.htm

..... netload.in/datei4lWJmDBBro.htm

Another example, I just could be able to download around 60% from Oron after that the downloading stopped and started again from the beginning:
...... oron.com/4iap44azkcoe

and this is also happened to me when I downloaded many times from RapidShare
I don't know why??!!! I checked everything and my machine is clean from any virus.

Regards,

Hi,

Actually, I tried many times to create a log but I failed
I followed the same steps in the rules page, but the log report was not created.
Because as I said before, JDownloader starts the downloading from any link but after a period of time it is stopped and starts from the beginning again.

What do you mean by 'failed'? Just click '?' and click 'Show log'.

I meant by "Failed" that I followed the what is existed in Rules page but when I restarted the JDownloader, it does not show me the button for showing log >>> I mean that button that should appear after setting button.

Cool

Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the port 80/html/web scanner in your virus software.

If that doesn't help un-install your virus software. You might need special un-install tools from the virus builder and some (registry) cleaners.

If that doesn't help, here are my instructions for producing a complete and detailed log.

Also reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1.

Try the JRE update 17. It's known to always work with jD.

If you both removed your virus software you can also try to remove your firewall if you've one in your router. As a last resort, you can try to wipe your disk and re-install your OS.

Hello everybody,

I did everything here except re-installing the OS and still I have the same problem.

Anyway, I noticed something when I used the
(Hotspot Shield, world's only FREE VPN Software)
JDownloader worked fine and it downloaded most of the files that I could not be able to download it before.

So what is the problem? Do you think the problem is in my router?
Since I am connected to the internet through a wireless connection.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

you have a lot of
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
that means
1.) connection unstable
2.) firewall/av killing the connecton (please add java.exe and javaw.exe to exclude list)
3.) some network tools (ipblocker..) can cause such issues
4.) do not set max downloads too high when you have slow connection

Dear Jiaz,

Could you please tell me how I can solve the problems that you mentioned?

For my machine security and protection, I am using Avast AntiVirus (Free home edition) + Malwarebytes' AntiMalware.

I check the Windows Xp Firewall and it is turned off. Besides that, I don't have any IP Blocker tool in my computer

Also, I sat the max downloads to 1 in JDownloader 3 days ago
and I am still having the same problem.

i would suggest to remove malwarebytes, reboot computer and check if the problems still exists...so you can be sure if it is causing the problem or not.

Restart your computer and try again. If you've been able to remove all remnants of the virus from your computer you should be able to use jD.

If you aren't able to configure it, please remove it (use un-install tool and registry cleaner) and restart your computer. It'll feel like paradise.

Please read General Discussion -> Self Help Index -> Choosing and Installing security software. There is a list of faster and more secure software at the top of the document. These programs will not interfere with JD the way that Avast does.

Even the people who develop the antivirus programs admit that scanning the datastream as it is downloading is not very useful. Avast does this and drops important data along the way.
