Default Filtering file names fails

Hi,

I just noticed that sometimes the File Name filter/search doesn't work correctly.

I have 2273 packages with 4007 links, but many of them hidden, so the visible package and link number are 1892 and 2411.

I was searching for a file name and I didn't find it, so I started to look through the links from the latest to older, and I found it. Did a little experiment and I found that it's not possible to find certain links, but all of them belongs to the newest added packages.

Curiously, when all packages are visible, I still can find the same link, the last one the search can find.

So, it seems that the total number of packages/links somehow affects jDownloader's ability to find certain, recently added packages.

Sounds like a bug.

Can somebody take a look at this issue, please?

Thanks in advance,
M

Hi,
any way to reproduce this?
Please provide a log and example links that can be used to reproduce this possible bug.

Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier.

Hi,

I've downloaded a few packages from the queue and removed unnecessary packages since posting, and now I can find everything. So it definitely depends on the number of packages and/or links. Currently, I have 2118 packages with 3886 links.

In order to reproduce it, you probably have to add tons of packages until you have metrics similar to what I posted earlier.

Do you really want me to post thousands of links?

Thanks in advance,
M

Yes.
Alternatively you can send your downloadlistXXX.zip to us via support@jdownloader.org.
Do this only if you do not mind thit at containing personal links!

I got a JDownloader with about 600 links and 17 packages here and I'm unable to reproduce this problem.
Do your filenames contain some kind of special characters?
If so, which ones?

Hi,

As I mentioned in my previous post, it's working with 2118 packages containing 3886 links. So, you need to add more, currently your queue is nowhere near to the limit I found (2273 packages with 4007 links).

The package names don't contain any invalid characters, I believe jDownloader sanitizes every package before adding it to Link Grabber.

You can grab a bunch of links by going to youtube, scrolling down a bit, and then crtr+a/ctrl+c (if your setup watches the clipboard, jDownloader should start populating link already).

If you scroll down too much and copy too much links, it could render jDownloader unresponsive, though, so small steps are safer.

Cheers,
M

I know.
I'm waiting for you to post links and/or send your newest downloadlistXXX.zip to us.

It's not about "invalid" characters just about "did you notice this issue happening only when filename/packagename contained specific characters?".

I'm waiting for your example URLs.
Adding a pre-generated downloadlistXXX.zip for testing would also make it way easier/faster for us to test.

Please check the following:
Go to Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Search for "GeneralSettings.filterregex" -> Make sure that this is disabled.

Hi,

What constitutes as a "specific characters"?
I just typed letters, and jDownloader didn't find the package with that string. That's all.
I hate regex, I'm not using it.

Sure, as soon as I'll have time I collect a bunch of youtube links, just the way I suggested.

Hi,

I figured it out.

There's nothing wrong with the search, but sometimes the file name doesn't match with the package name (manually changing the package name). While I was searching for a package, I haven't changed the search option from File Name to Package Name, so jDownloader didn't find anything, which is the expected result considering the settings.

So, it's all good, you can close this ticket.

Sorry about noise!

Cheers,
M
