Default how to download multiple files simultaneously with a speed limit?

if I set a speed limit of 80 Kb/s, it downloading one file at a speed of 80 Kb/s, but second file is not downloading at all, can you enter a function: sharing speed limit between active downloading files?

If you mean that you've two links from different hosts and you want them to be limited at 40 Kb/s each, then you need to start up two instances of jD (you need to make a copy of your jD folder), because in (the current) jD you cannot set limits per host or link.

I assume you are using a free account. In that case then only 1 download per host.

If you are using Premium, then setting max downloads to 2, and setting to 80K, will let both files download, at a max total of 80K, however YMMV on how that is split, one could be 10K and the other 70K, or 50K/30K

I'll move this to General Bugreport, first.
After having clarified 6spam6' concern I might move it back.
Please read the General Bugreport Rules and the Self Help Index.

Any progress on this issue?

I am using:
JD version: 0.9.580
OS: Mac 10.6.4

If I set a speed limit and download from multiple different hosts, the bandwidth is not balanced well.

For example:
Speed limit set to 80kb/s
download from MU/RS/FS
MU will almost always go at 80kb/s
while FS struggles with 0~1 kb/s.
FS link will almost always disconnects after 5-10 mins.

Is it possible to put a minimum kb/s for each download link if there are multiple downloads? A 5-10% of the speed limit minimum for all downloads will make sure some won't hog the bandwidth.

jD's developers are building a new download engine. It might solve some of your issues.
