viper780 and I created this method for you guys who were struggling with the thompson script, you can also try out the perl method provided by the thread starter, located on the previous pages.

Before you get started You have to enable telnet on your operating system or this will not work

So heres your guide:

1. First download the attachment telnet.rar

2. Extract telnet.rar contents to JDownloader folder (tst10.exe and telnet.txt)

3. Open telnet.txt you will see this:

4. Now goto JDownloader reconnection settings and integrate the tst10 shortcut as a external method.

Final notes:

A script was also created for this router but since the router uses a session ID it was not possible to get it to work after the system and router was rebooted, perhaps in the future we\I might be able to find a way for JD script format to read cookie sessions, until then please use the telnet method which works %100 perfectly.

I've added the script for this router as well, please keep in mind that this will not function unless the proper cookie session is set within the script.

Yes Freeloader has many good ideas and is very capable.

I've to say that this works on an Thomson Gateway TG789vn
Software Release: 8.4.3.H and Boot Loader Version: 1.0.5
Product Code: 36592630 Board Name: CANT-4
The account is an Administrater and root account

Firmeware is open and neverlocked. It is an Premium Demo Version from Thomson from here **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (there you can also find some configurations)

So if there is any problem than maybe because your account haven't enought rights, on your tirmeware or config the commands will differ. Especially the Interfdacename would be an other one "intf=Internet" .

If some one wonders what this means:
"SEND "ping proto=ip addr=yourrouterip count=20 interval(ms)=1000" "
For my ISP a simple reconnect wouldn't give me an other IP, i've to be offline for about 20sec and thats a simple waiting stage. You could try a smaller or higher Number.
interval(ms)= is the time how long "ping" is waiting between to requests. so 1000 means it waits 1000ms (= 1sec )
count= is simple how often an ping is send. here 20 times with 1sec between => 20 sec waiting.

So if your Router won't get an other IP Adress try higher Numbers (e.g. count=60 to wait 1 minute), if your ISP gives you an new IP adress on every reconnect than you could test it with count=1 and remove the Line (incl. the WAIT Line afterwards)

\m stands for "CR+LF" or simple an enter

The WAIT Lines are only for an readable Output, it means the script waits so long till it become from the Router an Line back with the Symbols given

i hope this makes it a bit clearer and helps you troubleshooting

@Viper780 can u please test the reconnection script after JDownloaders new verison is released ? I think it will work because I spoke to jiaz today and he said that the new version will forward the cookies automatically so this is great news. So please test it after the new version is out.

no ETA yet probably this month not sure.

The cookie is created auto at the beginning of the login procedure the problem with current jd is that it cant forward this. So make sure you delete the cookie lines when testing the script or it wont work at all.

hello,

it`s my first posting, i fix the TG789VN reconnect problem with the old TG585v7 script. in this case for linux OS!

first the TG789VN must have a open firmware, i have installed the netherlands firmware with the wizzard tool. with FTP i put the user.ini to the TG789VN and restart it.

in this user.ini you can setup the connection name .. like aINTERNET for ADSL or vINTERNET for VDSL (A1 Austrian Telekom)

the name in my user.ini is aINTERNET .. the problem is the A1 Telekom firmware is totaly blocked at the CLI .. only a handfull commands works but no commands like "ppp" thats why you have to install the netherlands firmware ..

and now open JD like this picture



the script name is "reset" .. i wrote it with "vi"
