I'd like to try your tips, but I can't install JDownloader anymore... setup runs 1 hour then failed to install. I reboot, desinstall, reboot, reinstall... the same. I tried several times without success.

after desintall, I tried to see if there was any old JDownloader file, via telnet and "find" command. I only found a folder, empty, in usr/.../packages. I don't know why it doesn't work anymore, and I'm a little upset.
