My hard drive ran out of space after the jdownloader tried to extract an iso image and after that dozens of links that were queued to be downloaded were lost after restarting jdownloader. How can I restore them?

jd could not save config file because of no space. in case you have no proper backup (check backup folder and extract latest one to config folder) then your link list is gone.

Many of the newer files are not present in the backup. Is there any way to configure a daily backup?

You can use any backup program to make regular backups of your jD/config folder.

When you add links to your download queue, you can use Ctrl-B to make a backup.

An automatic backup option will come with the next version, because it will be an option in jD's scheduler.
