Cool

@LJSeinfeld

Your problem might be related to the fact that FSe does no longer support resume for free loaders. When you happen to have downloaded a piece from a FSe file and this download was stopped for some reason, then jD can't handle that situation.

I believe the devs already know it and they might publish an update soon. A workaround for this problem is to Reset the link where jD gets stuck and all will be fine.

@Atman

You don't need to Reset all your links, only those that have been stopped and incomplete.

Note that I don't understand your window problem.

@arrowsmith

If FSe does no longer support resume for free loaders, there's nothing you can do about it. You'll have the same problem when you download with your browser.

EDIT :

@ALL

Note that you can still download FSe links with jD but you can't stop and resume them.

3) Connect to it, you will realised your IP don't belong to SG anymore. (yes, you can surf some MDA restricted websites =P)
4) Start using JD as per normal!
Good work Jack!
I'm still bugging the people at Fileserve as they have sent me an email asking me to clear the cache and the cookies.
However, the above does not work for me as I am on a Linux system.

Cheers,

Hey Fellow SG people,

Fileserve is working again on JDownloader!!!

It started working at 9:28PM SGT, it wasn't working when I wrote the first email, then was about to try the method with the full filename and my Error links started up again.

It just started up and its working, no need for VPN and such

Cheers!!

Only problem is, I have a premium account with FS -- and it just seems to happen with random files in the download queue. If I try downloading the files on a different machine in within my same network, no problem.

I do run Peerguardian on that box as it also downloads torrents, but I don't think it's hitting on JD's activity... it's a HTPC and I'd see Growl popups all over the place.

I'm hoping something will change soon... I have a relatively large queue, and I really dislike micro-managing it.. =)

EDIT- I just vnc'd to the box and disabled PeerGuardian... and voila.. the sticky FS link un-stuck... Fileserve.com is on my whitelist in PG... wonder what the hell is going on?

I bought a fileserve premium account the other day and have been experiencing speed issues (not JD specific). My internet connection is consistantly above 10Mbps (speedtest.net) yet the DL speed from a single FS premium connection is a woeful, 200kbps. More annoying is that I am only able to get 2 simultanious connections active in JD for a grand total of 400kbps, despite setting the maximum connections/sim. downloads higher. Some people seem to be getting these speeds with a free account so i'm a little annoyed.

Another issue which may be a problem with the FS acount or JD, is that after starting a download of a FS link (2 connections), scraping a different FS link from clipboard interrupts the download, checks the link and then restarts the download . Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Default Since a day no download from fileserve.com anymore

Hello,

since today I cant download from fileserve.com anymore. I didnt found a thread for plugins here in nightly so I make a new thread.

Since today it always starts to connect and then stops and says that the server doesnt allow multiple connections. Im alone on this ip and its the only download running. So I guess fileserve allowed multiple connections to one file before? Anyway... it doesnt work anymore...

All you need to do is Reset the link, because FSe no longer supports resuming links for free loaders.

I think an update of the plug-in is on its way.

Please, discuss your first issue with FSe or ask your money back.

For the second issue I think the devs need some example links and a complete and detailed log.

On the first issue is it possible that there is a problem on my end such as a discrete port that needs to be activated? Is there a specific limit to the amount of connections that you can get from fileserve (premium)? IE is everyone else able to achieve maximum download speed by maximising the amount of connections?

I might leave the second issue as it's most likely specific to me and a derivative of the first issue.

jD connects to the server just like normal browser so it uses the same ports as the brosers are using: 80 for normal connection or 443 for secure connection.

Increasing the number of connection may increase the speed, but it also may be limited by your OS (remember the famous limit of connection in XP?, your FV or even by your router. Sometimes hoster may also limit number of connection per file or your ISP may limit the speeds at specific time of day...

Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1 and Reset the affected links.
