Hello all,
I seem to be having a problem with my premium account w/ Fileserve. It's a paid account, and has been working fine w/ jDownloader for a long time now. However yesterday, after I updated, it says "Invalid Account" in the premium tab. I've tried re-adding it several times with no luck, and even changing the password and trying it then. Nothing. It's getting quite frustrating now. I've also checked on Fileserve and the account's fine. Another month until it expires. edit: Jiaz may have ninja'd me with that response. My password contains a full-stop, so I'll try changing it to one without it. edit2: That fixed it, thanks Jiaz. Last edited by S3NSA; 05.09.2011 at 13:59. |

@japonfeudal & blublabb
Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. If this wouldn't work, please provide a complete and detailed log. |

Thanks for answer remi. I think that if the problem would be firewall or virus software related, the program won't start or even recognize other premium accounts. Nevertheless, I did what you suggested and the problem persists. I think, that the best solution is just download the FileServe Download Manager and that's it. This issues only happen with FileServe premium account. Hope jDownloader can support again downloads from FileServe premium.

thanks, remi. but no such thing set up here.
|edit| seems that deleting the account settings and adding the account from scratch solved the problem for me. Last edited by blablubb; 08.09.2011 at 01:59. |

i'm still having the fileserve servererror problem in the premium settings page.
i've tried deleting the account, restarting jD, and readding the account but no luck.. not only that, but it seems like my jD currently is unable to handle any accounts or links.. ------------------------ Thread: 36 ----------------------- 36 9/8/11 12:19:41 AM - FINER [java_downloader] -> Checking for available updates EXCEPTION ------------------------ Thread: 56 ----------------------- 56 9/8/11 12:19:52 AM - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> SEVERE Exception occurred jd.http.Browser$BrowserException: connect timed out at jd.http.Browser.loadConnection(Browser.java:1018) at jd.http.Browser.getPage(Browser.java:349) at jd.nrouter.WebIPCheck.getIP(Unknown Source) at jd.nrouter.IPCheck.checkIPProvider(Unknown Source) at jd.nrouter.IPCheck.getIPAddress(Unknown Source) at jd.gui.swing.jdgui.settings.panels.reconnect.MethodSelection$3.run(MethodSelection.java:249) EXCEPTION 56 9/8/11 12:20:10 AM - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> SEVERE Exception occurred jd.http.Browser$BrowserException: connect timed out at jd.http.Browser.loadConnection(Browser.java:1018) at jd.http.Browser.getPage(Browser.java:349) at jd.nrouter.WebIPCheck.getIP(Unknown Source) at jd.nrouter.IPCheck.checkIPProvider(Unknown Source) at jd.nrouter.IPCheck.getIPAddress(Unknown Source) at jd.gui.swing.jdgui.settings.panels.reconnect.MethodSelection$3.run(MethodSelection.java:249) 56 9/8/11 12:20:13 AM - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> IPCheck failed |

@drunker
that's because something is blocking java/jdownloader make sure you setup your antivirus/firewall/security software correctly to support JD. 95% of errors are caused by these problems and not jdownloader itself.

thanks for the quick response raztoki. i thought that it might be my antivirus/firewall as well but have added an exception for jD.

we have guides online the http://jdownloader.org/knowledge/wiki/problems/index and http://support.jdownloader.org
Of late some problems are been caused by live http checks/scans which are outside of the applications exemptions, or have separate setup. That said try on another computer with separate setup to see if you can download without problems. Or try uninstalling security software to prove otherwise.
