why do some YouTube videos still work fine with JDownloader v0.9?

most don't work, but some still work fine...

Example:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Just tried it in my JDownloader v0.9 and it pulled up all the MP4, 3GP, FLV
and WEBM videos...

What makes that YouTube link different?

i have 2 solution for this Issue

1- is using ffmpeg and the dash files Itag=135(480p video only),137(1080p video only),141(audio .m4a) and muxing using ffmpeg and get the final .mp4 (work in 480p,1080p) ( i have this method)

second method is finding the .mpd

and you get a little this

Won't work for 1080p Videos

The popular Firefox extension Flashgot had a similar problem with youtube format changes and they fixed that in the new version of the extension. Possibly contact the developers for some help.

Sorry to say but now JD2 is not the best program to download YouTube.
I miss the advantages that have FreeStudio (FreeToutubeDownloader), all user files are separated folder and named/called username.
Perhaps it ever change in JD2 but until then I do not want to download the program JD2.
This is my opinion.

It seems JD2 Beta is the only way to DL 1080p video from YT.
So, have you considered making a PORTABLE version of JD2?

I already have the JD1 but I wouldn't like to install the Beta version over it, because I'd lost all my passwords, download list and settings. So I could use the Portable JD2 Beta in the mean time, while still having the stable one has the "main" installed version. And I could get rid of it has soon the JD1 is updated.

I would be very useful.

Thanks for the link. I just tried this beta version, and I still can't get the 1080p link.

All the grabber gets is: 144p, 240p, 360p (+WebM), 720p and some tmp file.
No 1080p whatsoever
