Abruptly stopped downloads
Hi,
this is not a bug report per se but a heads-up about JD's behavior in a very uncommon situation. I was downloading a ~5GB video file from mega. The file was fully downloaded and its encryption process was just starting when I clicked on the update button. Update was downloaded and immediately applied during the proces of decryption of the video file. The file got corrupted in the proces and I ended up with two useless files in my download folder: the .encrypted file and a completely corrupted target file. It was impossible to resume decryption process or resume the download in any way. This was ofc a human error and nothing bad happened but JD could check for active decryption processes before applying updates to make it fail-proof. Thanks for developing this software. It's extremely useful. Cheers! |

You should be able to delete the incomplete decrypted file and then the decryption process should run again. As long as you have the .encrypted file, there are ways to resume decryption. I will check on this tomorrow and try to reproduce the issue/fix it

update setting should have prompted you do you want to install (which restarts client).
as jiaz mentioned delete the partially decrypted file, and then force start. should restart decrypting process.

with next update JDownloader will warn about the ongoing decryption
but please test the resume of decryption as described
