Uploadbyte.com detecting adblocker
Sample link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
I go thru a captcha, then I get a "you are using an adblocker, please disable it" sort of message. I've changed my search engine to DuckDuckGo. Does that clash with JD? |

Link works fine for me. JDownloader isn't connected to your browser/search engine at all.
Can you please provide a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here. Create log after error is shown in JDownloader

Installed your update first, then tried the link again. It still detects an adblocker.

There is no error about *adblocker* in your log. Only aborted Recaptchas.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you mean?

Here's what happened just now. I picked a fresher link and got thru the first captcha. When the next captcha appeared, it was replaced after a couple of seconds with the adblocker notice. Screenshot: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
The captcha was interrupted so JD started a new one so I cancelled that. Log: 19.06.19 11.25.16 <--> 21.06.19 11.44.25 jdlog://1434086935451/ Also, there's a JD update that I have not installed yet. I'll do that now, but I assume it has not taken care of the problem because you're asking for more info. |

Thanks. Now I understand what you mean. I've forward this thread to the developer of the browser extension. It's a timing issue that the adblock detection of the website kicks in before MyJDownloader extension is able to work

When you click *open in browser* again, maybe it works after retry?

Link created Jan 24: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Logs (sorry so many): 24.06.19 11.02.31 <--> 24.06.19 11.02.19 jdlog://4925086935451/ I'm not sure what you mean, so here's what I did today. I installed a JD update first. Using JD, I clicked thru the first page of the captcha and got the adblock notice. I closed the browser tab and allowed JD to open a new captcha. This time I did not even get to hit "Next" before the adblock notice appeared. I then cancelled JD and opened the link directly from the originating website. I got the adblock notice again. BTW, you guys are probably the most attentive support service I've every encountered! I've had to wait and wait and argue with paid services (such as cell phone or anti-virus), but here you are with free software and executive-class support. *And* you had the foresight to automatically create logs which are easy for the end user to access. Wow! Last edited by Cosmic Anosmic; 24.06.2019 at 21:25. Reason: clarification of process |

What browser extensions have you installed? Did you try to disable all other extensions except MyJDownloader and check if there is a difference

My guess is that another extension is intercepting before our extension has a chance to do its work. To test that, disable all other extensions and try with only the MyJDownloader extension enabled. If it then works, enable all other extensions one by one until it stops working. Let me know which one is the "winner".

Sorry this is so late. The culprit is Adblock Plus. I whitelisted uploadbyte.com (and **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.uploadbyte.com just to be sure) and JD downloaded with no problems. I will sleep better by assuming no nasty stuff is being hidden on my PC from their website.
This problem and solution was a surprise. Thank you for figuring it out! |
