i think its good idea to jdownloader support those sites to grab HD videos from tiktok even they have 10 sec delay between downloads i would want to have original source quality videos then compressed and watermarked videos
or it would be better if jdownloader can download the HD videos without the sites and no delays

so far I haven't been able to confirm that those sites do not only upscale existing videos and "fake" that HD quality this way but it still is what I assume they're doing.
Have you ever compared both video qualities sidee by side and using e.g. free software like "MediaInfo"?

Please provide the following information:
Please provide multiple example URLs for tiktok videos which, according to you, are available in "HD/Original quality" so that we can re-investigate this.

Update:

Indeed those aren't just upscaled versions of those videos.
I've added support for downloading those HD versions.
After the next update, you can download those by using the following new setting:
Settings -> Plugins -> tiktok.com -> Select download mode -> API HD

Today I noticed all of those sites no longer offer an HD Download option. Last night it was working fine. Looks like Tiktok pulled the plug. Very sad.

Update:
I've investigated this once again and it seems like you're right:
Tiktok has serverside disabled the ability to download HD versions of videos.
Watermark-free non-HD versions are still available though.

I've updated our tickets and added a comment in our code.
I will lave the HD option in for the next update just in case tiktok decides to re-enable that serverside.

On github they're still debating about the HD stuff.
According to some users, downloading the HD/original versions is still possible but no one has officially posted how it works.

The HD setting in JD is available as of todays update just keep in mind that it will not work...

I'm not well-versed in this tech, so I don't know if their knowledge could help necessarily, but thought I'd share if by chance it could.

Edit: I tested this new shortcut on IOS, and it works as expected.

@Paste Gnomo: We need to know how this website achieves the hd download. Doesn't help to know that this website works, we need to know how.
We already have a working workaround, so please wait for upcomming updates. Most likely the site just used the same method as all other tools aready do

Thanks for the update. I can use now Tiktok API Download mode so i can get videos without annoying watermark.
However, if I set it to API HD results in error, it display "Server Error 404" on status bar, and a countdown timer of 1 hour starts.

After recognizing the link, it recognizes the file, but not the size nor availability (showed as "?" mark)in contrast to API.

Not sure if since it says HD, it is meant to be used if video is HD quality? Or should be work with any. Im testing with different videos and havent found any working yet.

The jdownloader devs added the features only after it was disabled by tiktok, so, to my understanding, it has never actually worked on the program itself. It is theoretically supposed to download in the highest quality possible, as some tiktoks have been uploaded as high as 1080x1920 (maybe higher?) That said, the team is actively searching for a new method to incorporate it again, so keep your eyes open. The site called "tikwm" is understood to be the only working hd download api, but that is currently closed source, unfortunately. Definitely a pain to download in bulk using that site, especially since it doesn't have a proper file naming system in place.
