You're having connection problems.
It's possible the FSe server you want to download from is temporarily unavailable. If downloads work in your browser then something might block jD. Can you download links from other hosts in jD? I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |

It seems to be a premium issue. Without premium all downloads are fine. I tested with and without anti virus and firewall but this wasn't the issue, I already set exclusions for JD anyway.
I've done everything else you suggested unfortunately it's still 'download failed' I think we have a mystery here remi. |

No mysteries. It can always be a bug.

I spoke to support and they said it was a Java connection issue. They told me to install open dns, which I did, (not sure what it does to be honest) but the problem is still there.
So no fix in the end. |

Changing your DNS addresses to OpenDNS makes sure you don't use your ISP's DN servers.
If you've java connection problems and you did what I recommended in post #1059, then you should remove your virus software. It's possible you need special removal software and registry cleaners. Always restart your computer after such removals, because viruses are very difficult to remove. If you've a firewall in your router you can temporarily remove that as well. |

Well I finally fixed it. it wasn't anything to do with fire walls or anti virus software on this particular issue. I simple uninstalled JD and Java then Re installed Java then installed JD. Seemed to fix the issue. Either that or it was an update in the last few days...
Thanks for the help anyways Remi ![]() |

I've never posted here before so I'm not sure how to do this, but this seems like the relevant portion of the log:

When daily download limit is reached, I got: Plugin error (out of date).
Could it be possible to wait for 24 hours instead of stopping with an error if such case happens? |

I've tested part10 and part11 and both work fine.
If you can download both links with your browser, I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |
