Ich mußte die Qnap neustarten. Danach kann ich nicht mehr auf den Jdownloader zugreifen. Laut dem Appcenter ist das App zwar "an" aber irgendwie hat es sich nicht verbunden. Was muß ich tun?

I have installed following this thread jDownloader. First of all, thanks a lot to all of you who helped create this, it works perfect!

There's one question though, as the tutorial requires I installed optware, but can I remove it now that jDownloader is installed? I would like to install entware or maybe qnapware instead. Would it be possible without breaking jDownloader installation?

Thanks!

No you can't. One day maybe but not now, orrrrrrrrr, you've to replace the right dependency. The jd2 script have some dependency, and I can "force" the installation of of only with the optware package. I'll check if there's an official and available entware pack, but I think that is not yet available

@BDeus
Copying is the WRONG way
Stop JDownloader and delete Core.jar and delete the extension/libs folder
It will then update itself to the latest version with all libraries for your system.

For example with vim (vi)
Usage is not easy for first time, better google it
vi filename
press i (insert)
then you can insert text
press escape to leave insert mode

enter :wq (for write & quit)

Or simply copy the file to your PC, edit there and copy back

Is there any news on that? I installed jdownloader on my Qnap 2 weeks ago. But since that the Harddrives are always running. In QTS it shows me Version 1.34 is this the last?

Thanks for your work and help, jdownloader is great.

Tried to install following the instructions.. what happened is that it ran a bunch of updates, and restarted jdownloader a few times, but never asked me for the email and password.
than it said "all done".
Not sure how to log in and actually use it.
Any help?

// Edit: /share/Download/ is the right path for me

I think that entware and entware-ng are not fully compatible each-other, I think that I've read something about that. Entware-ng is the "last" entware, I think.

But I don't think entware-ng and optware in the same system can survive, I don't know exactly but, I think that use the same path /opt!

So, try to
1. Disable entware
2. Disable entware-ng
3. Reboot the nas
4. Try to reinstall jd2

Alternatively if you can install the container station, I know that exist one container with jd2

I want to start to moving forward and add a compatibility to Entware-ng but I need to test some function on new nas like x31 or x41 series that seems to be "uncompatible" with the old but always good optware, so ...

If someone have this nas and want to make some test, please tell me.

Default Working on QNAP Armv7 TS-431

I was able to get this working on my QNAP TS-431. This one has a Armv7 in it. My QNAP does not have optware readily available like some of the other ones. For instance, optware doesn't exist in the app center. I originally had entware-ng installed but I got the same error as Cornstrike. I was able to get this issue resolved by uninstalling entware-ng and installing an unofficial version of optware found **External links are only visible to Support Staff**here. The forum that I found that optware did not recommend using it for many packages. I assume that it's possibly unstable on systems like mine. After I installed it however, the jdownloader script ran flawlessly.

Chryses,
I would be happy to test some scripts for you using the entware-ng. Ideally, I would like to give you vpn access to my nas but my ISP switched some systems over and now my router is on a private ip. So I can't open any ports until that gets resolved. If you are really interested however, I could probably set up a laptop with teamviewer or something for you to get access here. Like I said before, I have a QNAP TS-431 which includes a Armv7

Hi,

i have a TS 451 with QTS 4.2 and Entware-ng running and very interested in getting Jdownloader running on my NAS.

I got the same errors like kornstrike during install.

- procps could not be installed due to the fact it is not available in entware
- the update process failes due to not enough space left on the device. I think the installation path is not correct and it is trying to install the software to the ramdisk.

So if you still need a NAS to run some test iam your volunteer :D

Just to remind you all: It is still possible to install JDownloader manually on every device! Just install Java and you can manually download/install JDownloader on it. Only disadvantage is that you have to write/create start scripts yourself or start it manually every time you boot up your device!

You can manually start JDownloader with
