Cool

Try the link in your browser and if you get "limit reached", then you reached a limit.

That was a joke.

In the Nightly forum it's clearly written that the Nightly version is a test version and everything can go wrong with it. The developers are using that version for testing new ideas.

That's why they offer a Stable version as well.

I am also having similar problem.I switched to Nightly version yesterday and everything worked fine. But from the last hour or so I am getting the wait 25 mins. message.

I am a MU free user.Is there any solution as my queue consists of only MU links.

Also the linkgrabber keeps grabbing the links from clipboard even after clearing them from linkgrabber list.
And this nightly takes lots of resources compared to the previous version. My internet browsing is very slow after changing to nightly version.
Thanks for any help.

Using Nightly version and same 25 minutes issue faced for MU download here. It started only today late evening, together with this fileserve and freakshare keep on "trying to restart link" as well.

There's something wrong with the nightly version. It keeps telling me to wait 24 minutes on my Megaupload links and I know it's not a limit reached problem since I have 90 days of Megaupload premium. Is the stable version fixed yet? If so can someone please tell me how to switch back to it or at least figure out a way to fix the nightly version.

The update took a little while and there was no indication it was actually updating, but it did and MU is working fine now.

I am having the same problems with the waiting for 25 mins with MU ... even thought I am premium. JD shows me as premium under settings/hosts ... but when you click accounts ... it says I am a free user. Gonna try updating & see if that fixes it.

Im using windows 7 64bits, im using Java Version 6 update 22 (build 1.6.0_22-b04) and my jdownloader 0.9.580.

My megaupload account is now a "Premium Membership" on jdownloader, that was fixed with the updates i guess...

The problem is that it freezes, jdownloader just freezes and dont download or close, yes i know everyone here has the same problem... has anyone could fix it yet?

Thanks

I am running Windows 7 Professional x64 with Java 6 update 22 with no problems at all...I dont see how people are having so much problems under windows 7 or with java 6 update 22 on their pc's...I myself use both Windows 7 Pro x64 and Windows Vista Ultimate x64 with java update 22 and jdownloader...Never encountered a problem like this before...Maybe the reason people are having problems is either their using the old platform of jdownloader that used to come in a zip file or they have disabled a certain setting within jdownloader itself or one of its plugins...Either way, I personally never had this problem...

It is definitively a problem with megaupload. I'm runing the nightly version and it works, but after a part of a file is downloaded it stopps and starts the next file, the previous one counts down with some sort of network problem warning.

Please, explain this. What's the "old platform of jD"? What's wrong with the .zip file?

it has always worked well...
what's happening?

I was forgotting... i tried to install also beta versione of jd (nightly)... in that case instead of crashing, it says that i've reached the limit even if it's no true.

what do you mean by crashing? freeze or java closed itself? in 2nd case, are there any hs_err files in your jd folder?

in freeze case, please use the nightly and provide a logfile

@remi

To explain, the old platform aka the .zip file that used to be hosted on this site is basically a portable version of jdownloader which can be moved from PC to PC, for instance, if your PC ends up with some kind of virus or if something in the old folder was altered by the virus, sometimes, it wouldnt show up or be completly unknown to the user...Transfering the original zip folder from PC to PC is not good for the program cause of these problems...I myself have done exactly this in the end losing some of my downloads because of this...The new platform which installs jdownloader into the program files directory by default will also add alterations to some system files to 90% of the time will allow the current user not to have too many future problems with the program...I myself have used the straight installer ever since it was introduced to the site have have never had problems with the program frezzing up on any download or any download source ever...To put it lightly, if you use one installation of jdownloader forever, you are bound to run into problems with it down the line, that why every 4-6 months, I make sure my jdownloader is empty, uninstall it, clear any instance of it ever being on my pc out of it, reinstall it and start from fresh installation with no problems...Keeping a fresh version on your pc often will help eliminate a lot of problems like this...

Hey guys,

This evening I opened JD and it said 1 update available, so I updated and now JD completely crashes after a few minutes. I retried several times, disabled firewall, antivirus, real time protection (NOD Smart Security). Still problem persists. I then updated to the latest Java version (I was running previous version because I experienced problems with newest and I was being told to keep using the previous one for JD to work properly).

I will try re-adding Java to the NOD exclusion list but reading the above comments it looks like I'm not the only one with this prob...

I really needed JD tonight but now I can't :(

Does the nightly version work properly? If so, how do I download/activate it?
Thx

EDIT: Disabled all downloads except one and re-added Java to NOD exclusion list and so far JD keeps working & downloading... *fingers crossed*

start jdupdate.jar (in your jd folder), close jd before doing so.

1 update available means that something blocks the update. so closing jd and then update with jdupdate.jar might help

Right now, downloading multiple files and everything looks OK.
Funny that I needed to re-add Java to the exclusion list

Ask the virus software developer why they produce such a miserable software.

Cheered too soon... :s
JD still crashes :(

I'll retry with one download, if it then works there must be a JD or hoster bug. I'll see if I can catch a log.

As for NOD, I've been using it for years and wouldn't want to change it with any other!
I've had other antivirus progs in the past and they always used way too much resources, didn't detect virusses that NOD does and so on

crashes or freezes? that are 2 different things
crash = java/jd gone and hs_err file exists
freeze = sure you use nightly edition (check about dialog)

It freezes. (If Java crashes I normally find a hs_err on my desktop wich I now don't)
It definatly freezes as I can't click anything in JD nor can I close it. I have to close it by killing it's process.

It's not the nightly edition, can you explain me how to use it please?
Thx

Don't know if the error is present in this log but here's one:
http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/20735

After uploading the log JD freezed again.

EDIT: on page 6 of this topic I've read your post saying Java is not the problem but some MU servers...
I currently have 1 active MU link so this might be causing it. Yesterday I disabled my links except RS ones and then JD seemed to do well. I'll retry now and disable only MU. Let's see...
