With the changes on how JD grabs tiktok profiles can I request a slight change.

When copying a tiktok profile, tiktok slideshows get added as well but not the pictures just the sound.

I personally don't want to download the mp3 for the sounds but the little thing with JD right now is that the sound is only listed as an mp3 file after download. Before it's download JD shows it as a mp4 file which makes impossible to filter those mp3 files out before downloading.

Also something I sometimes do is leave finished downloads in the downloads tab so JD doesn't download files that have already been downloaded but for whatever reason these mp3 files don't get registered by JD as "already in download list" so JD does go ahead & attempts to redownload those mp3 files.

So ideally it would be cool if JD could grab the photos when you add a tiktok profile link, but if thats not possible its okay.

But then I do want to request if possible that JD correctly identifies mp3 files as mp3 files & not mp4 files before download so they can filtered out before download.

Or maybe is there a way to just stop JD from grabbing any mp3 files all together from tiktok? Is that possible to add to the plugin maybe?

Hi,
sounds like your JD is possibly outdated or there is some kind of bug.
Our tiktok plugin is supporting image- and mp3 download since a few days (reference).
Under Settings -> Plugins -> tiktok.com you can adjust, which items JD should grab and some more settings.


Please provide such "slideshow" links for testing and provide a log.

What I forgot to mention:
- Duplicate-checking of old links should work in general.
- Those .mp4 URLs which changed to .mp3 are "lost"/can't be changed back to .mp4 -> You will need to delete- and re-add such items
- Please still keep in mind that our tiktok profile crawler will not crawl more than ~30 items at this moment! More information and workarounds: Click --> This is no news - it has been this way since the crawler as added!
