:outch: I had stopped using JDownloader about a year ago, because it stopped working and there was no way to get it back working again. Now, about 3 or 4 weeks ago it started working again (I've no idea whether some Java update did the trick, or something else did). It worked fairly well until yesterday (except for the fact that downloads would not start; I had to click on each entry in the list in order to make it start downloading). Yesterday. new downloads started to get stuck at "Connecting...". That is, current downloads continued to work, and finished downloading, but whenever I tried to start a new download, "Connecting..." would appear, and nothing would happen. Now JD is not working altogether. Every time I try to start a new download, "Connecting..." shows up, and then "Disconnect? Wait 05m:00s". I can download directly from my web browser, or even from Mipony. but I prefer JD ... when it works properly, of course!

My PC runs Windows 7. In "Programs and features" I have:

All of them by Oracle. The components that were last installed were installed on July 13th, and JD worked until yesterday, July 18th, so I don't think this has anything to do with the issue I described.

In the last few days, I've had quite a few problems with JDownloader. As I said, I have used it for quite some time, until it stopped working about a year ago. I tried to use it along the last year, to no avail. Finally, about a month ago, I tried it and it worked, except for the fact that downloads would not start automatically: I had to start each of them by right-clicking and choosing "Force download". This is quite a nuisance, because one of the most useful features of JD is handling downloads automatically.

I have also been receiving error messages, concerning problems with different download servers (right now, I can't remember which; I can mention
"dizzcloud.com", though, which JD seems to recognize as a download server, because when I copy a link to this server, the link shows up in the Linkgrabber list; however, the download does not work).

As I also said, a couple of days go, it stopped working altogether. Yesterday it started working again, and it worked for a while, but later, it stopped working again.

JDownloader version is 0.9.581.
Should I remove Java (TM) 6 Update 35?
About the log: I tried to send the whole log, but I got an error message saying "The text that you have entered is too long (354615 characters). Please shorten it to 100000 characters long." So I suppressed most of it, trying to include only thread headings, warnings and error messages in the text I'm sending. Otherwise, it seems imposible for me to send this message, because so far, the board.jdownloader.org screen has been going blank without sending anything every time I attempted to send a fuller versión of the log. If what I'm sending is not enough, please give me directions about what I should include. Here it goes:

firewall / anitivirus software is blocking connection.

I would remove java6 as it's not longer supported and open to exploits if you have it installed.

Hi, raztoki. Thanks for taking the trouble to read about my problems.
I've checked my antivirus (Avira free antivirus) and my firewall (Windows firewall). I don't know much about them, but I went through all the menu options of both and could find nothing related to this problem.Besides, I've noticed the following:
1) JDownloader seems to be working with NO download site, except for at least one, from which I could download a couple of movies. (I had to manually make them start, though, because as I said before, when I manage to get the Linkgrabber to solve a reference and I move it to "Downloads", it just stays there in the list until I force it to start.)
2) All other downloads I've tried did NOT work in JD. However, they DID work in Internet Explorer and even in MiPony, so it seems that JD cannot download them, even though the firewall and the antivirus are not blocking them.
One more thing: I uninstalled Java 6, as pspzockerscene recommended, and now I only have Java 7, but the situation remains the same.
I'll check the antivirus and the firewall, but I still think this is an issue with JDownloader.
