High CPU Usage When Linkgrabber Active...
Hi All, I'm Using The Latest JDownloader Build... (as usual)
I've Noticed When I Paste Many Links To Scan For Files To Grab Then JD Have A High CPU Usage Until All Links Have Been Scanned... **External links are only visible to Support Staff** To Mitigate This It's Possible To Limit Linkgrabber Scanning One Link At A Time? Thanks And Keep Up! |

You can limit crawling threads in Settings-Advanced Settings-LinkCrawler.maxthreads
I wouldn't call 27% CPU usage high though. Of course more crawling = more ressource usage.

Thanks! Much Better Now With Only 1 Thread...
The Problem Is That's JD Is A 32bit Application So It Uses Only A CPU And 27% Means That There Is A 100% CPU Usage Of That Processor... Now My CPU Fans Don't Cry... Thanks! |

It depends on used java if it runs in 32 or 64bit. JDownloader doesn't care So you can 32bit applications also use multiple cpus if available. You can always install JDownloader again with 64bit java if you wish. Just copy over the cfg folder from your existing installation to new one to continue with old settings/accounts/lists.
Still will 27% cpu usage, there is still plenty room left on your system. Please check the about dialog of your JDownloader and tell me the 3 shown numbers at memory. I guess your cpu usage is high because of limited memory and JDownloader/java spending most/all time in memory management. The 3rd number should be minimum 512mb ram

Just backup your old cfg folder to avoid dataloss when moving cfg folder or new installation.

...More Easy I've Removed Java 32Bit And Installed Java 64bit ...
Now JDownloader Start (from the same link/folder) On A 64bit Environment And Using More CPU/Memory Resources... Last edited by enone; 15.05.2018 at 20:15. |
