broken proxy support
Hello
one of the latest jdownloader updates has broken proxy support. It worked fine before the update. I'm using socks5 proxy on localhost and I can clearly see in my firewall, jdownloader doeasnt use proxy settings properly for all connections. It first started with broken youtube proxy, another update it fixed but now I cannot download from other hosters via proxy. For example im trying download something from uploaded.to, I have premium account and jdownloader ignores proxy settings and try to download directly. Then it fails, because firewall blocks direct connections and I got captcha window from uploaded.to. |

It seems youtube downloads through the socks5 proxy, but mega.co.nz does not, here is a test link I created, it does the lookups via proxy, but the download directly instead of through the proxy.

Should be fixed. However there is still a lot of ongoing work at the proxy controlling. let us know if there are further problems.

It's happened exactly the same, and I found a solution: INSTALL "JD2 BETA" AGAIN.

shouldn't need to reinstall. its more config issue, if you go into the details page and leave it empty list whilst in 'whitelist' it would block everything! If you switched it back to blacklist, it would have 'fixed' the issue.
Still waiting on next build full, for coalado next review to reach the general public.

Hello,
It doesn't show that I'm connected through a SOCKS 5 proxy since last weekend anymore. It shows always "Connection: Direct". Is this just a wrong symbol problem or is there a bug and I'm always connected directly and the proxy setting is ignored? Edit: I've also tried it with reinstalling JD, but it didn't help. this bug just bit me and trying the blacklist/whitelist switcharoo doesn't help.

Is there any chance I can download an older version of jdownloader 2 in order to get the functionality of the proxy back? It worked without problems two weeks ago and I don't know what else I could do. Is the problem you mentioned the same as I have?

duplicated this problem (only wants to go through direct) by adding proxies to my list. I assume once I am able to restart jd2 it will be fine, but program is going to be useless to me for the next 5-10 hours. :(
I add the proxies via import (i.e. text string) apparently its just the newly added ones that are disabled. unsure why. (and by disabled I mean checked to be enabled, just ignored) Last edited by Lram32; 20.05.2014 at 17:18. Reason: merged posts, please use edit |

There will probably be an update for this today. If you want to help me, please join our chat and ask me for a teamviewer session. I need to test the new system.

I already reported it in my first post. Even if I have my SOCKS 5 proxy set on in the connection manager, it doesn't show it in the info as you can see in the screenshot above, it always shows "Connection: Direct". I think it happened after an update because two weeks ago it showed the connected proxy there (instead of "Connection: Direct" the IP of my SOCKS 5 proxy). I've already tried it with reinstalling but it didn't help. Am I the only one with this problem? |

confirm that in latest days i've some problem with proxy rotation, one problem is that i can't be able anymore to activate more than one proxy with one click, need to manually click one by one all proxy in list, also seems that there is some strange problem with proxy, because i've got captcha recognition problem (ask continuosly a new captcha and not validate anyone), download from same website give me download limit, so seems that use same proxy for all downloads

don't think anything was changed in respects to socks5 it was more the introduction of whitelist/blacklist and pac support which caused the problem. I had similar issue though I could still use socks5 proxy with some manipulation. I also confer that whitelist and blacklist seems to work which is winning! no more need to mess around with proxy list in order to control which dl gets used by what plugin!

@ppippo
have you looked at the connection manager of late? things have changed, the first connection is default connection. None of the connection made were using proxy and your works internet border gateway says AUTH required. raztoki

Yes, you are right!
I've just found it by myself after playing with connections and priority. Many thanks. |
