Default PhantomJS doesn't show captcha

PhantomJS isn't working correctly. After recent keep2share update I got popup from jd2 to install PhantomJS. After you start download, the status column in jd2 says 'Captcha Recognition' but there is no popup to solve the captcha. The download times out and then tries again.

Popups for regular sites like upload.com work correctly

Another issue with PhantomJS is that recaptcha doesn't work. If I enable browser solver, it works correctly and chrome shows popup and I can solve captcha. If I disable browser solver because I want to use PhantomJS instead then same problem happens where status column in jd2 says 'Captcha Recognition' but there is no popup to solve the captcha.

phantomjs is the final fail over, i do not recommend its use. its implementation and support is subpar at best. Please 'use/rely on' browser solver for recaptchav2 with the my.jd browser extension for chrome or firefox (you do not need to sync it up with user:pass unless on remote system).

Install https://my.jdownloader.org/apps/ . A MyJDownloader is NOT required.
Enable Settings-Captchas-Browser Dialog

What's weird for me is I have PhantomJS disabled in the advanced settings, yet it STILL starts it up for some RCv2 captchas. And I have to kill the process manually. But it's inconsistent.

In fact it's running right now, taking up 85MB memory and doing nothing.

Found a bug. Wait for next core update, then it will be possible to disable it again
Thanks for reporting this issue

@pivtxzuq: some RecaptchaV2 require the MyJDownloader extension in order to be solvable

Is there a list of sites which need the extension? I don't want to install extension if not needed

@pivtxzuq: No there isn't because
-each cloudflare captcha requires it. so website captcha may work fine, but the optional cloudflare captcha requires it
-website admin can change this without you/us knowing.

There is no disadvantage from installing the browser extension. A MyJDownloader account is NOT required.

It seems the FIX introduced a new BUG, now recaptcha doesn't work with PhantomJS ...

So the previously recommended solution is now only an emergency solution "PhantomJS ist nur eine Notlösung und funktionier mehr schlecht als recht." How about you stop promoting to us you're "apps" and fix the bug you recently introduced???

raztoki
as in it wont hit phantomjs unless you
- disabled other functions,
- timeout happens within enabled function.
- failure happens within enabled function.

@plaintext: There is no fix and no new bug. RecaptchaV2 has received many new captcha challenges since beginning of RecaptchaV2 and each one one requires lots of work to get it working with phantomjs. And because the native solution by directly solving the captcha in your browser, you will get best results out of it. MyJDownloader Browser extension is only required to add support for some specific RecaptchaV2 challenges. A MyJDownloader Account is NOT required.
We will soon remove old deprecated phantomjs solution.

So instead of upgrading to the latest phantomjs version or another headless browser solution we have to install an browser add-on that currently doesn't support my browser of choice ...

we abandoned phantomjs/other headless solutions because they are easy to detect for google and not fully cross plattform and increases footprint a lot.
browser extension works on every browser that supports webextension standard
alternative you can use android/ios app for MyJDownloader or 3rd party services like deathbycaptcha/9kw...
everyone is welcome to help on this
