File name disappears for offline files
Recently my jdownloader randomly started doing the following: if trying to download a file which is no longer available on the host (eg k2s, gator, joker), in the download list the "file not found message" status is shown, but jdownloader replaces the filename with something which seems to be the last bit of the original URL eg "sddgfif03qgw".
This happens randomly, ie sometimes the "file not found message" is shown but the file name is not changed. When the file name is changed it is very hard to figure out what it was so I can find it again. And if I try to go to the original URL, usually its the URL of a search page, therefore no luck there either.... How can I stop this happening? PS a related question, if I import some downloads by a dlc file to another pc, the "show URL" only shows the file address of the dlc file, and no other links even with double click (ie it only shows: file:////T_PC/d/Downloads/Various%20Files.dlc). All my settings boxes are checked. Is this normal? It must have saved the URL of the hoster somewhere! Thanks! |

Hi,
indeed some of our plugins do this as it was never thought of until recently. I've updated our rapidgator plugin accordingly but this issue should not happen for k2s and filejoker. If it happens again: Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier. Until then, for RG, please wait for the next update: Wartest du auf einen angekündigten Bugfix oder ein neues Feature? Updates werden nicht immer sofort bereitgestellt! Thank you for your quick response and work!
Any answers for this question? Im quite curious how the URLs are saved on the second pc.... |

DLC are protected container and JDownloader won't reveal the internal URLs on them.
DLC is not for import/export, just for sharing. -psp-

@fabio:
If you want to import/export lists, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...nkgrabber-list you can copy over downloadListXXX.zip or linkcollectorXXX.zip from cfg folder

Thanks for your answers!
I see what you mean, re DLCs being protected containers. My question arose because I use DLCs to send just a few packages from the download list to another pc, and not copy or replace the whole list which the downloadListXXX.zip would do. To get around the issue, I just keep a copy of the sent files in the original list for reference, which works fine! Thanks again! |

You don't have to copy/replace the whole list. You add/load those files either via Drag/Drop or LoadContainer and then add/merge them. That way the lists are not replaced.

I think if I understand you correctly, thats what Im already doing:
1- On pc A (which has a big list), I select a few packages, and I create a DLC file, and copy it to pc B. 2- On pc B, I double click the DLC file and add the files to the download list of pc B. This is working fine for what I want it to do, my curiosity was that by doing the above, on pc B no actual hoster URLs are shown. But it is not a big deal, since I have the original links saved on the pc A list, so I can always refer back to it if needed... My understanding is that if I copy the downloadListXXX.zip to pc B, then I add the WHOLE pc A list to pc B, which is not what I need to do, thats why I use the DLC method. |

Do not use DLC(they will lose all meta information and require complete reprocessing of all links) but just copy the downloadListXXX.zip or linkcollectorXXX.zip from cfg folder to other computer and either drag/drop into JDownloader or LoadContainer, then you can import the complete download/linkgrabber list with all settings/xy.
DLC will make JDownloader to crawl all links again. Yes, you add the whole List but you can remove unwanted items and the process is MUCH MUCH faster as no crawling is involved.

Ok, I see what you mean, thank you for that!
I never thought of doing it this way, since my pc A list is huge, and it seemed easier for me to just select a few packages and export as DLC. With your explanation I can see how it can done to preserve all the data, thank you! |

It's not as convenient as DLC export/import but MUCH MUCH faster!
Maybe I will add similiar DLC export/import just with existing format that linklists use, see linked ticket.
