Difference between Java 1.8 and 11 (Jdownloader Adware-free)
Hello,
what's different between 1.8 and 11, just to know. Why was the old 75 kb exe webinstaller removed? |

Hi,
As far as I know, the new installer just contains a newer Java version - it has nothing todo with adware/adware-free. You can look up the differences between different Java versions on the Internet. I will be back in two days and might be able to provide a more detailed answer with information provided by our developer & admin Jiaz. -psp-

Instead of the old Webinstaller which automatically chose between/download the 32/64bit installer,
we now directly provide those 32/64bit installer. Maybe in future I will also provide webinstaller again. Java 11 offer some newer features(eg TLS 1.3, but dropped older Windows support) over older Java 1.8, we provide both. JDownloader is identical, just different bundled Java version. You can safely choose between any of those on modern Windows
