Default JD Not starting - Not working [FIXED]

Hi guys!

First let me say I use a Windows-Vista Computer.

My problem is the following:

one week ago the J-downloader stopped starting for an unknown reason... I would double click on it but it would not start but then I going to to my memory I could see the JD was there, that confused me. Tried some times before giving up.

Then I turned off my firewall, my anti-virus, everything but it wouldn't work.

Then I un-installed it and downloaded the more recent version from jdownloader's site.

Then it says: "the installer did not start up correctly on the last run. This is probably caused by a corrupt JAVA VM. Do you want to download or manually sellect the JVM?

I tried both options, neither worked.

I went to the java update website and it says "Congratulations you have the newest version."

Still, I un-installed it and re-installed again but the problem persists and I don't know anything else to do.

Please help me!

Thanks in advance!

Oh, I'm dumb. Found this error file on my computer:

n: -167772160 incompatible with Text-specific LCD contrast key
disable cleartype fonts in windows and then it should work

you use cleartype with values of invalid range, that likes up java.
you can also try the cleartype fixer (google)

Damn, I'm kinda computer-dumb but I'll use google to try to disable it...

Thanks Jiaz!

Easier than I presumed. It's fixed now, Thanks Jiaz!
