Default JDownloader does not start after install

[[ running Win 7 64 bit w/ Java v6.26 (32bit) and v7 (64 bit) installed ]]

JD was running perfectly until it started to reconnect indefinitely to premium hosts . So, I decided to re-install in the hope that it would solve the problem.

After a successful uninstall / install ( I can also successfully update running.jar far directly), JD fails to load.

dllhost process runs for a few seconds, and then dies.

I tried to run JD / produce an emergency log file via :

"java -verbose -Dsun.java2d.ddscale=true -Xmx512m -jar jdownloader.jar -debug -brdebug 1>jdlog.txt 2>jderr.txt"

but JD *still* fails to load.

Any help much appreciated .

close jd and all java processes and create new log

1 8/22/11 11:21:09 PM - INFO [jd.Main(main)] -> existing jD instance found!

1 8/22/11 11:21:09 PM - INFO [jd.Main(main)] -> Send parameters to existing jD instance and exit

JRE (1.)7 isn't stable yet. Replace it with a more stable version, like JRE (1.)6 update 21. See "**External links are only visible to Support Staff**.

also note that java 1.7 b66 contains a bug which prevents jd from startup. please use the latest 1.7 if you want to use it
