Yes i know. I used two different captchas in the links to show that both of them aren't working. Re-captcha is working fine though.

Default Rapidshare Decrypter is out of date

Dear JDownloader team,
today I've got an error after updating my Jdownloader, it's the rapidshare decrypter which is out of date. It never happened before. What's wrong?

Best regards,

this is not rapidshare decypter its linksafeme.
please update and retry. for directlink (linksafe.me/d/*) support you will need to use jd2 as that fix for that missed stable/nightly' update cycle.

If its still a problem after the update, please provide us with example links

Default After latest update descrypter didn't anymore

Hi,
since I updated my Jdownloader, the descryption for linksafe.me didn't work anymore.
Now I have reinstall Jdownloader on my pc and Jdownloader show me the message, that I have the latest update. All the linksafe.me links work without issues. Two minutes after the installaion is finished, JD tell me to update again, but after the latest update JD show me the message: the desprytion is out of date.

Right now I can't update anymore, if I want the descrytion to work.

Hi
For the stable you will have to wait for the next updates to get released (stable updates are released every 7-14 days).
If you want to have it right now you will have to use the BETA.

Hi,
I set my jdownloader to auto update, so when there is a notification question about an update version, usually I just download it. Is it not always the stable update?
Thanks

You have the stable version.
For this version, updates are released every 7-14 days.
The latest linksafe update is not yet released for the stable that's why it doesn't work for you.
If you can't wait you can try the beta (as described above).
Note that the BETA has many new features but also many bugs which is why it's not recommended to use it for daily use.

Short: Either wait 7-14 days for the stable update or use the BETA.

Default Problems with linksafe decrypter and Beta for Mac

I currently cannot use Jdownloader because the of the error message "decrypter out of date" which according to other posts relates to linksafe. I am using a Mac and cannot find how to upload a log - I followed the online instructions but cannot find a menu or upload log button.

I have also downloaded and installed a Beta version but it will not load after installation. Does this mean I cannot use Jdownloader at all until a new version is released?

OR--you can install the beta in a dummy folder and just copy JDownloader Beta 2\jd\plugins\decrypter\LnkSafeMe.class to the same folder in your installed stable version, e.g., JDownloader\jd\plugins\decrypter\--just let it overwrite the old version. Be sure to quit JD before doing this. I made a backup copy of the folder of the old version and tried it on the copy just to be safe. I don't know how this affects the stability of it but so far it works flawlessly. I don't know why you guys don't just make this one little file available with instructions.

Update:

I noticed that restarting or quitting and starting JD causes it to "update" LnkSafeMe.class to the old non-working version so I have to copy the new version back again before starting JD again. I wrote a simple batch file to do this automatically from start->run:

jd.bat:
Code:
 xcopy "C:\Program Files\JDownloader Beta 2\jd\plugins\decrypter\LnkSafeMe.class" "C:\Program Files\Copy of JDownloader\jd\plugins\decrypter\" /c /v /r /k /y
You'll have to substitute your own paths of course. You have to quit JD, run the batch file, and re-start JD for this to work. A simple work-around for those of us who don't want to open every linksafe link separately or waste our premium account while waiting for the real update. ;-)

1.This is more work than you think.
2.The current BETA will be the new JD one day, then updates will be available once fixed/made.
3.Instructions for every update....no!

Well, you only have to give the instructions once. I already have given them here. Then just post all the updates as they arrive, in one thread, for those of us who aren't afraid to roll up our sleeves and copy a couple of files.

One thing I don't understand. If this new version works already, why isn't it made available as an update for the current version of JD? I'd use the beta if not for all the caveats against using it.

I'm not sure if this is the proper reason, but I assume in the "stable" version all code has to be personally revised by the top-level developers; one simple mistake can possibly have (devastating?) consequences for thousands of users of jD out there; In jD2, I'm assuming, the development is more "smart" and "compartimentalized", so that one error in a plugin won't be able to spread throughout the entire program - so that if a plugin is defective, jD continues to function normally and all it needs is a simple correction for that specific plugin - therefore there's no need for the top-level developer to revise ALL code before it is released. We have to keep in mind that this is an open source/free software and, very much likely so, they're not working on it 24/7; The fact that the correction code is written doesn't mean that all work is done (at least until we're all using jD2); I, too, am waiting anxiously for some plugins to be fixed/released in the next round of updates, but that's all we're supposed to do - wait patiently. The good news is that as each day goes by we're getting closer to having that update; Until then, it's not like we don't have the (slightly inconvenient) option of using the browser for those specific downloads, right? I too am not quite comfortable with using jD2 just yet; neither am I to use it's plugins in the stable version, as they're clearly written for very different programs.

@foobaz:
because the update process for old stable is very complex (all manual work and many clicks)
our next major version will have instant plugin deployment and seamless plugin update (no need to restart to use updated plugin)

@audio20:
stable and jd2 use the same plugins. but they use different update system (stable: very complex to do update, jd2: all automatic)
and in old stable errors in plugins can have *very bad effects* on the core
we reworked core and jd so this should no longer can happen
