Whenever you use tags, always make sure to close them (2 times the *).

I found out why it was not working.

I downloaded the videos seperately.

Now that I let jd process the complete playlist it works just fine.

But still it would be a NICE Feature to have - ie. a command like *playlistindex*
what gets the index number which is displayed when viewing the youtube playlist in browser - even if I'd just download a single video.

I had issue yesterday with special vids (like vevo videos) but today not reproducible (it works fine).

JDownloader won't grab the following Youtube link. I always use JD to download from Youtube, and there is no problem with any other video. Just this one. I can download it with the Firefox add-on Video Download Helper.

I am trying download the audio only from a youtube video 128kbit/m4a. After I finish downloading I end up with a DASHAUDIO file, which I am unable to open and the status in jdownloader says 'host problem?'. Any suggestions?

It worked fine when I tried today. I think my firewall was probably blocking ffmpeg or something.

Is there a way to download 4K videos shot in portrait/vertical orientation?

The youtube page shows it's a 4K video and jdownloader says it's 2160p but the download is in 1080p, 1080x1920 instead of 2160x3840.

I want to download a youtube channel having around 27000 videos. Linkgrabber does not grab all links from that youtube channel.

playlist/userprofile is a known issue, its a limitation of youtube website and not JDownloader. If you click more on website and debug youtube plugin within your favourite IDE you will see it finds the exact same amount of videos. The remainder seem to be out of bounds from the youtube website.

Hm best would be to have some kind of API for loading big channels/playlists.
I bet if we dig deep enough we would find an open API for such things..

I noticed that JD2 cannot grab link from age restricted video from youtube.

Request for plugin to register gmail account as hoster since I sign in to youtube using my G+ account.

we have a work around some age restriction links. It works some times, and then sometimes not (depending on when youtube changes website), plugin already supports google based logins or youtube based logins.

Video is shown as offline in linkgrabber with copyright message.

On youtube, the video can be played but the audio is disabled due to copyright.

In such a case, how to make jdownloader download only the video?

Can make a change on how the download URL is stored?

Example I use linkgrabber on a playlist with 1000 videos.

A few of the videos are not downloadable or I want to download different video quality.

But if I try to view the URL for that video, it gives the playlist URL, not the individual youtube video URL.

Wrong - this is not age restricted - it is geo blocked!
You need a proxy to download that or, if excistant, tell us how to get around that geo block without a proxy!

Visiting the video in the browser shows

I got no YT-account, so I can't log in get around that.
Using a GreaseMonkey-script like **External links are only visible to Support Staff**Youtube Age Confirmation Bypass or

in the browser without being logged in.

youtube-dl downloads it fine, without VPN or proxy.

If it's geoblocked, maybe that's only the case for GEMAny?

PS: When I visit the video using the embed URL (i.e. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) in the browser, I get that "UMG"-message too.

Due to my ADSL speed is only 2500kb/s max, it often take a few hours when downloading a large video file from youtube. At some stage during the download, the download was interrupted and then Jdownloader 2 returned an error message of "File not found".

I could grap the link again from youtube, but Jdownloader 2 started download from beginning instead of continue from the point where it was interrupted.

Any ways to resume the download rather than download again from the beginning?

Doesn't matter - we need the logs.
Sometimes our log tool fails when the logs are too big but we have multiple ways to view logs so that's not an issue.

I do also have some youtube naming problems.

My problem is not exactly the same, i do use customized filename (*channel* *date[yyyy/MM/dd]* *videoname*.*ext*) so that i get all clips i download in the same order as they where uploaded with the channel name first and date second.
This worked fine 2-3 updates ago but now the date is gone have tried without [yyyy/MM/dd] and with date_time.
Also tried using only *date[yyyy/MM/dd]*.*ext* (with or without [yyyy/MM/dd] and _time) also tried using *videonumber* using only one of those options gives me the same filename as videoname+quality does BUT with no space between name and quality AND no . between filename and ext.

Filename using *videoname*.*ext* gives this Booty Shake.mp4
Filename using *date*.*ext* OR *date[yyyy/MM/dd]*.*ext* OR *date_time*.*ext* gives Booty Shake480pmp4

And the line i used before that worked fine is *channel* *date[yyyy/MM/dd]* *videoname*.*ext* gives RM Videos Booty Shake.mp4 and NO date is there :(


Since this was not the exact same problem is this too fixed? If yes when do we see it?

Did a complet reinstall of jd as in uninstall/delete all jd folders also emtied my temp/webcache folders (since i did a light cleaning) restarted computer installed jd again but no difference.
Also run jd on an ubuntu 12.04 lts install using Zen virtualization on my unraid server and it is there i found this problem too begin with.

As it is now i save time manually downloading everything myself since i do not have too rename every file.
