Default Unsupported site - any solutions?

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

This is a free site which shows old movies. Logon is necessary to view the content. Movie links do not work with JD, even if I enter the logon details. The Firefox add-on 'Video DownloadHelper' produces a string of download links, but the results are either picture-only or sound-only - never the complete film.

It's the same on all the material on their platform, and the only way I can get them is by screen-grab which is time consuming and not without it's problems.

Can JD or anyone else help please.

@waterspout: The site is unsupported.

this is a sign for unsupported split video/audio streaming format in use. JDownloader does not yet support those and therefore cannot be used to download such streams.

We can do further tests but need logins for that, please send them to support@jdownloader.org

@waterspout: Thanks for the mail. As explained the site uses unsupported streaming format and until it is supported, you won't be able to use JDownloader for this site. I will also respond by mail

As this might also be interesting to other users:
You can always try the following instructions to download from unsupported streaming websites:

Re. download-from-video-audio-streaming-websites.

b. In case both, video- and audio was downloaded by JD but separately and not as one file, you can merge both using a third party convert tool of your choice such as the open source tool FFmpeg.

I did think of trying that. But because the timing of the two files differed by a couple of minutes, it was probably going to have an out-of-sync problem with the sound. So I've yet to try it out.

It should be possible to mux those or try to download the m3u8/mpd via ffmpeg in one go and not seperate stream downloads
