[NOT a JD issue] Really slow downloads ?
Currently down to a sixth of my normal speed on downloads.
Ran a bunch of different speed checkers and my connection speed is as fast as always. But every download even if I increase the number of connections and simultaneous downloads it never gets past a 1/6 of it's speed. The speed limiter has not been checked. |

Hi,
this is definitely not a JD issue. Please check our knowledgebase article regarding low downloadspeed: https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...-downloadspeed -psp-

What host do you download from?
Are you a free- or premium user? What speed do you get in JDownloader? What speed in browser when downloading the same file? Have you checked firewall/av applications? Does your JD speedgraph does not show a red line? Also please provide a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here. -psp-

Updated to the latest update today and it's all back working as normal. Had to be JDownloader then.
Thanks for the help anyway. |

No changes at all in JDownloader. Only few plugin fixes. Still not caused by JDownloader
But thanks for the feedback

Hey guys,
I'm having a similar issue with Rapidgator. All of a sudden RG downloads slow down to a few kb/s when reaching a certain amount of the download (~at 80%). All of my 10 simultaneous downloads would then totally be at ~200KB/s. If I stop all downloads and start them again, they're back at full speed until all downloads reach 80% again, repeating forever. Never had this behavior in JD2 and neither with RG. Any thoughts? It's impossible to download bigger amounts like that :/ Last edited by awaiting-crunch; 27.03.2021 at 04:01. |

@awaiting-crunch
This could be caused due to/if you use multiple chunks when downloading, when chunks finish before others (uneven) and the remainder are slow they do not increase in speed. The old download core does not manage this well.

@raztoki
thank you for the explanation. Is there any way to get around this? In fact, I never had this issue to this extent and I'm using JD2 and RG for ages :/ Last edited by awaiting-crunch; 27.03.2021 at 14:53. |

@awaiting-crunch:
I think it's caused by RG and/or overloaded internet routing. Same issue happens with RG even in combination with multihoster download.

Hey there,
so this is a newly introduced RG issue and needs to be fixed on their end? Or is there indeed something I can do to prevent the downloads from becoming slow over time? Sorry for the late reply. Busy days |

Speed-issues arenever JDownloader-related.
Please try to find out the reasons for the low speed and/or also contact the rapidgator.net support. -psp-

Same problem with rapid/JD2
Same problem as member "awaiting-crunch" my rapidgator premium with JD2 in second half of match. Even with latest core of JD2 (and all updates). Any combination of rapid plugin options or number of chunks, hasn't worked. After some time speed go down to 12-13kb . For me only working final solution, is using paid VPN with location Germany-Berlin (without static IP). Speed of download is 70% of my max download speed. But still better absolute minimum.
Any other location static or dinamic IP has some problem/ |

The same speed slow down is happening to me also in JD2.
Started about 2 weeks ago. Not limited to rapidgator ... same with filejoker, filefox. Downloads in MBs and then slows down to KBs. |

The issue is not caused by JDownloader!
It seems to be caused by local Firewall/AV or ISP Routings or Router. Please tell what ISP you are using and what firewall/av software and if you are using a Fritzbox Router! Most reports come from 1&1/Vodafon/Kabel. Also reports with TotalAV. And Fritzbox is also often in use.

I stand corrected ... issue seems to be related to Rapidgator only.
My ISP is Comcast and my VPN is Private Internet Access (PIA). Not using a Fritzbox router. Thank you. |

@reddituser99: does it happen with/without VPN. also happens in browser?

Persistent JD Slowdown Issue For Last Several Weeks...
I've read through this thread, and other posts, and still have not found a solution that works. NONE of the recommendations above remedy the issue. The issue ONLY occurs with Rapidgator, Keep2Share, and Filejoker when downloading with JD, though it happens most frequently and more persistently with Rapidgator.
Here's what I've done to test: 1. Downloaded using all of the filehosters mentioned above with JD - As stated previously, the issue happens all the time with Rapdigator and intermittently with the others. - Stopping and starting the downloads returns them back to normal downloading speed, but often they return to a crawl, requiring manual intervention again. - The 80% download threshold seems to be a consistent trigger point. - I tried downloading with JD with VPN connected and without -- no difference, the problem persists. 2. I downloaded using all of the filehosters mentioned above WITHOUT JD, and never had an issue. Downloads were smooth and withouth interruption, with or without VPN connected. 3. I modified JD settings, as recommended in the thread, and other variations to no avail. Single downloads, multiple downloads, single chunks,... had no effect. The issue persists. I hope that helps add some further context towards finding a fix. |

@acorso: Would be great if we could do a teamviewer session together and try to find the cause.
I cannot reproduce the issue and the download core is the same for ALL downloads. If it would be caused by JDownloader, then all downloads for everyone would be affected. Please contact me via support@jdownloader.org
