I cannot remember when or which update, where I could no longer open JDownloader main window when clicking on the app icon in my Dock. Previously, if I closed the main window by clicking on the red circle, I could still open the window by clicking on the dock icon.
Now, I have to resort to minimising JDownloader main window (orange yellow circle) if I want to open it again by clicking on the dock icon. If I did close the main window, I have to resort to Cmd+, (Settings shortcut) to open it again. So, I don’t if it’s a setting feature I could toggle or it’s some kind of bug. I never turn on the Tray feature then and now, like forever. A bit annoying but the app still works perfectly fine. |

@confused: not aware of any change of ours. I will have to look into that
What MacOS are you using? Can you provide screenshot of the TrayIcon settings of JDownloader?

Tray Icon Settings
**External links are only visible to Support Staff** Advanced Settings **External links are only visible to Support Staff** I never turn on Tray Icon. It happens on both macOS Mojave and macOS Ventura. Tried with JD2 Intel version. Tried with JD2 Universal version. Too lazy to uninstall completely and try installing again. Will try when I have the time to concentrate. In the past, I always closed JDownloader 2 main window by clicking the red circle or CMD+W without quitting the app. If I need to see what’s downloading, I just click on the app icon in the dock to open the main window again. And I hardly change any settings. |
