Default jDownloader htaccess login and pass not working

hey, since like 2 hours jDownloader has been asking for http login and password despite the fact that it has already been added to the HTAccess login list. I tried removing all the entries from the list and manually adding the login and password (host %%%% user %%%% pass) but it doesn't work. I mean the login and pass seem to be saved but when adding a new download link (using the built in browser "copy link" function or flashgot) jD still asks for login and pass.

any hints?

Hm couldn't find out anything but you seem to be right.
Please wait for an answer of a developer.

thanks, I thought I'd chime in and add some useful info. It seems that jDownloader somehow can't save the HTAccess login list because when I empty the list and then try to download files requiring a login and a pass, the program won't add them to the list, it remains empty. Does jDownloader store that list in a particular file?

I'm running a 64 bit Windows 7 OS, got UAC turned off, jD folder is not located in Program Files folder, hope that helps.

The problem is i must admit i never used htaccess logins in JD so i don't even know how they have to look *shame on me!*
The next major version has a much better htaccess login table which even i can understand :D

haha, thanks for being honest any approximate release date for the next major update?

back on topic, this is kinda weird because the HTAccess login list stopped working suddenly which leaves me wondering... this is a pain in the ass since I have to write the credentials for every link I copy into clipboard, now imagine doing it when you have to copy like 50 links or even more? haha

perhaps I should update to the most recent nightly build?

I think there must be something wrong with that part. I had no logins/passwords in it but when I opened the pane I found a long and incomprehensible string of characters that starts like "54.17 %%%% adlog.com.com/adlog/c/r=1000". I don't know where it comes from. At the end of the long string I found "example.com %%%% username %%%% passwd" which is the format for HTAccess accounts.

I'm no developer but imo the "54.17 %%%% adlog.com.com/adlog/c/r=1000" line is likeed.

I updated my jD to the most recent nightly version and it's working again I'd like to know what happened though

That depends on how much code is really new and how thoroughly that code has been tested.

plugins are generally universal so its version independent, the only dependant part is how the features or how the core process/reacts etc. I'm amusing most of the htaccess use is with directHTTP or ftp, as I'm aware that's the limitation with JD as the rest of the plugins (hosters) have there own login method and entry within the account manager...

PSP, I assume you tested this out yah?

They NIGHTLY already saves htaccess logins so if you enter a login for a site JD will know it if you add more links of them, current Stable doesn't do that unless you configure it probably (but maybe even that is broken :()!

I've done testing in nightly as the version i use as my downloader and im not having any issues. I added the account manually to htaccess in settings and your links work (for the ones that are online)

I assume you're using stable and not our nightly (Beta) branch?

MET, FEMJOY u.a.

:):)
