Do the downloads from other hosts work?

If you can download your FSe links in your browser then something (usually a firewall or virus software) is blocking jD.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

I have HotFile and Rapidshare accounts, and I don't have any problems downloading with JD. As for the Firewall, I have it turned off and still FileServe have problems downloading.

I'll look into your other solutions soon, thank you.

Hi Jiaz,

I'm working on that solution right now, I will let you know how it went soon. Thanks again for your help.

Jiaz,

I made the OpenDNS changes as outlined here:

Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Unfortunately, the JD status still says "ServerError, will try later". I then tried to download a few FileServe links. They can be downloaded, but I am required to wait X-amount of minutes/seconds and then fill in the appropriate captcha information in order to start the download process. I have a Premium FS account and shouldn't have to go through these hurdles.

OMG, your solution now works...no more errors!!!! My password did if fact have special characters, so I changed my password at FileServe.com and then made these new changes in the JD settings. Problem was then immediately solved, and I can now download with Premium account status!

Jiaz, I want to thank you very much for your excellent support my friend...you rock!!!

...have a wonderful day.

No problem for the feedback. You are AMAZING Jiaz, I never would have thought that my password was the culprit! I was prepared to uninstall my Firewall, AntiVirus, and a few other apps to get JD working properly again (that's just how much I love this product), but that obviously wasn't necessary!

Thanks again.

Cool

I've tried your first link and it works fine here. I've the same plug-in version.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

If this doesn't work, please provide a complete and detailed log.

oh yes they blocked me, i don't know if it is Hong Kong this place or Smartone this isp that i am using caused the problem, but just here to name it for your information.

I bypassed the ip check and downloading the file by using proxy. hope this reply helps.

Default Fileserve - Slow Download and Problem with multiple Connections

Hi

To be honest right away, i have a fileserve account, because most uploads these days are with fileserve, but fileserve really began to be bad a while ago, but you have to stick with it. Really bad download rates half of the time.
My current workaround is to use multiple downloads (2-3 files at once) from fileserve.
But sometimes this is not possible because there is only one big file.

To the issue:
When i select Max.Con. 2 or 3 (3 is a better example) for a fileserve file, jdownloader can't handle it. Either it does not start the download at all, or only one part for example.
I have tried fileserves own downloadmanager with multiple connections per file and it works very well.
Whats the problem with jdownloader here?
If i use my netload account for multiple connections per file, everything is smooth. So it must be a problem with the plugin?

At the moment i am downloading one file with 20kb/s another at 70kb/s... and the other file doesn't even start, even as standalone download (over http browser link)... man i really have some cruel intentions with fileserve. if you mention it to the support they just say: use our downloadmanager... blabla

I couldn't get a download connection with jdownloader yesterday, with firewall off, router reset etc.. but i could download via browser. today it is back to normal.
and multiple connections per fileserve file work too. to be honest i've tested it 2 weeks ago the last time. i was just so annoyed about fileserve yesterday that i posted my question to hasty. sorry
so everythings good for now, thanks. if i have problems in the future i will provide some logs.
