I initially started out with JD1, but had to go to JD2 because JD1 would tend to fail way too often and would not auto-resume.
JD2 works a lot better and has no issue with my premium account. Maybe the trick was to install JD2 on top of JD1. I did that by copying (using tar) the contents of my .jd directory into an empty JD2 directory and then doing the install. It picked up all my settings.
That said, after several downloads, I too ran into the problem today where a download went into continual "temporarily unavailable" status and would not, could not, get a connection to complete the download, which was 98.6% done. I ultimately had to delete the download and start that one over. With my DSL only being 4 Mbps incoming, having to waste several hours downloading really sucks.
