Do you try to press stop it it stuck? In that case it waits till all Downloads have left Download state and then it can switch state from running to stopped.
Maybe thats the case for you? How long did you wait?

I do not know, how better explain you. Simply just disconnect from the Internet, or restart jd2 .. button unlocks Download / Stop

When JDownloader is in transition to stop the Downloads (Shutdown, Restart, Manual stop) it changes its internal state to stopping. Until all downloads returned from download state both buttons will be disabled then.
Maybe a teamviewer session or a video?

Hm cannot reproduce it.
In his video he used vk links with extremely slow servers so he was able to press the stop button and then change the number of max simultan downloads.

This exception was thrown frequently when he stopped the download as a lot of the stuff he tried to download was not available serverside - maybe that caused the controlling issues though I cannot imagine that:

Not every user can afford a lot of RAM in your system, so will use additional memory from disk - use the cache - any selected drive.
This is not a bad idea. Avoid: "Out Of Memory"
So can use multiple applications at once, and the physical memory will not be missing in the system.

The GUI does not crash. It freezes because of other stuff. Too many workload on gui. I'm still working on that one. A threadump would help me a lot in this case. Just create 2-3 threaddumps and send via email

Yes, this is indeed the case. Link remove -> refresh list/refresh gui/refresh internal states -> lot of cpu usage. With help of thread dumps I can try to optimize all this for ppl like (many many many links )
