Dear community

I am using a premium account and have been successfully for the past 2 months, I LIVE AND WORK IN MAINLAND CHINA near Hong Kong. It's been fine, and very fast with no complaints, and then, all of a sudden, one day, it stopped working. Every time I start a download it automatically disconnects, waits 5 minutes, tries again and disconnects, this is the same for every single download I have tried with my fileserve account. Its not my ISP (unless they are lying) they offered to change my IP address to sort the issue. I further know its not because I've tried downloading at a friend's and the same problem happens. I have found nothing that explains this, unless fileserve itself has suddenly blocked this area but it was fine up until about 3 weeks ago. I don't think its anything to do with the great firewall as they don't tend to block warez unless it is predominately ruled by porn.

Any help would be much appreciated

According to another user in fileserve thread Fileserve is blocked in China/HongKong.
I don't know if it is isp site (they would not tell you the truth about this) or fileserve site

provide a logfile, then we will be able to tell more

does fileserve work in website?

Please see the attached pictures. I have Fileserve Premium Account. When I start downloading from fileserve, it becomes hang just as shown in the picture. It hangs forever, and stays like this until I restart the JD. I can't stop the download because it shows me "Stopping all active downloads" and stays forever with this message and the JD hangs again. Here is the log file, it shows Resumepoint not valid. What does it mean?

My password contains no special characters, I can download from browsers. I can download from other hosters such as rapidshare or others from JD. But it is only Fileserve that is causing the problem. Sometimes my download starts and in the middle it becomes hang again as shown in picture, and says incomplete download or sometimes hoster problem etc. What can I do, please help me, thanks in advance.

Another problem is, My download speed is 1Mbps, but fileserve downloads at a lower speed, less than 512kbps in JD, while I get maximum speed from browser. But if I increase the number of connections in JD, I get the maximum speed. But it becomes hang again in the middle and I can't continue it as mentioned earlier.

this is causes by a known *unlimited timeout* bug in jdownloader. i suggest to use the nightly version of jdownloader

Thanks for the reply. How can I install the Nightly version? Do I need to uninstall the normal version? If it is a known bug, then is there any possibility to get it fixed in future? Can I keep both versions side by side? Thank you.

You don't need to install the Nightly test version. It's just another branch of the jD code. Read the thread referred to by Jiaz.

Since it's a "deep core" bug it's too difficult to remove it in the Stable version.

If you want to run just one instance of jD, you can switch between both versions and use the same configuration and link list.

If you want to run Stable and Nightly test versions simultaneously, then you need to have two jD folders. This means two configurations and two separate link lists.

I can load **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.fileserve.com in my browser, however, if I input any download link into my browser from fileserve chrome displays "No Data Received" and after having put a download link into my browser, trying to navigate back to **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.fileserve.com home page becomes impossible. This is only rectified by reconnecting my connection.

I have heard that too, however I have been using the service unhindered for a while, and it's only recently that i've encountered this problem and what I read before states that it was banned before I had this problem, so i'm not sure. I believe what you say about the isp though, it could be that I guess. damn it I want to download :(

hi,
I get very slow rate from 30 to 50 kb/s from fileserve premium account and I tried to increased max connection but not useful also the download get disconnected and I get "socket time out error" and download start at the next file in line and error occur again

I tried internet download accelerator and it was faster alot

I am on win7 64 it

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but it really bothers me.

If I copy fileserve links out of a browser or anywhere else, and it loads into the linkgrabber it takes anywhere from 3-5 minutes to check the links, but if i stop it (click the red X's) then right click and do "Check Online Status" then it checks them all in a few seconds every time.

So is it using 2 different ways to check links? I don't really see why it should be that slow, and it only happens on fileserve links.

Oh and this isn't recent or anything, it's been happening as long as I've been using FS and jdownloader together.

increase max connection (like IDM does by default, it uses 9 or so and jd only 1

) of course the speed is different then
setup jd to use same connection number + setup your firewall/av correct

timeout sounds like kaspersky

what av/firewall do you use?

It doesn't really matter the link, it does it for any, and it is slow regardless of how many links.

The fileserve link checker works fine for me as well, i have no problems using that in the browser, but like i said when its checking the links after grabbing from the clipboard its slow as molasses, but if i just right click on those same exact links it checks them in seconds.

Also it doesn't give me any type of errors in the log file.

Greetings Creators & fellow users, I love Jdownloader ,I have been using it for a while, but for some reason it stopped working as before, it starts up fine, but connection are all disconnect!wait 4.59 sec , even rapidshare, I always got that from fileserve ,so used them less ,but i'm getting it from rapidshare too, my java is enabled and open in the firewall, is there anything else I am missing

please help

Seems like you're trying to download from fileserve.
Please check if fileserve is blocked by an IWF filter and also test openDNS.

If you can download with your browser I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

3) Configure the same proxy server in jD if you use one in your browser.

Hi,

currently i'm only getting 1-2 out of 4 connections working with fileserve prem. I have a 50mb. Should be getting 5-6mb, only getting 40-150 kb/s. heres a log http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/40957. thanks.

man i'm tired of trying whit this F fileserve error. does anyone try to use another download manager and see what happen. i don't think it's fault was on the jdownloader since it's normal on my hotfile premium. i've tried with the "fileserve filemanager" and try to download a several link, seem happy that it work, go to sleep and the next morning it's "F" stop and my internet just seem to wandering to another dimension, What the hell. in the end i feel like i paying a 6 month for nothing. it's seem even on premium i can't smoothly finish my lists download always seem to stuck on 1-or more file, thanks to fileserve crew "you really screew me".

hi,thats not the answer,ive e mailed fileserve,they say the answer is that there is a problem with the plug in on JD,until they update i cant get fileserve premium onto JD,has anyone else had this problem

First test your account in your browser. If your password contains special characters, please change it.

Then remove your account, restart jD, and add the account again.

If this wouldn't work, please provide (some example links and) a complete and detailed log.

If you can't download from FSe with your browser then your ISP blocks FSe. They might be collaborating with the IWF Mafia.
