Bei den YT-Qualitätsstufen des Videos wird 2160p(4K) angegeben, zur Auswahl im JD steht aber nur 1920p.25fps und 1280p.25fps statt 1440p. 60fps tauchen gar nicht mehr auf. Das war vorher bei 4K immer eine Option, ist immerhin ein Qualitätsparameter.

Was meinst du mit Orientierung des Videos ? Und gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die erste Priorität auf .mkv und nicht auf .webm zu setzen ?

@cobratigra: Youtube bietet für dein Beispiel keine 60fps Variante an. Und die "Statistiken fürs Nerds" zeigen 3840x1920@25. Es lag also nicht an der Orientierung des Videos sondern am Aspect Ratio des Videos. JDownloader zeigt hier die tatsächliche Auflösung an und nicht die Qualitätsstufe.
Sofern das Video auch 60fps bietet, taucht es auch weiterhin in der Auswahl auf, getestet mit anderen Links.

Nichts zu danken! Mittels *Statistiken für Nerds* kannst immer bissle eine Gegenprüfung machen und auch schauen ob es Auflösung/FPS/XY gibt.
Du hättest also gerne den MKV Container bevorzugt? Also MKV -> MP4 -> Rest?

Ja gezwungenermaßen musste ich mir ja aus der Liste einen Ersatz für die webm's suchen. Darum sind mir auch die 'fehlenden' Ratio's aufgefallen. Dieses kuriose 1920p hat wohl was mit dem Format des YT-Channels zu tun.

Richtig, meine Priorität wäre: Format mkv - mp4 - Rest, alles in Best available Quality. Am liebsten die Sortierung auch in der Liste mit absteigender Auflösung.

It seems that the option "Youtube: Quality Sort Identifier Order Filetype" has no effect as (i assume) JD always uses the default value.

Changing the default ([ "MP4", "MKV", "WEBM",...) to prefer the MKV filetype ([ "MKV", "WEBM", "MP4",...) will still make the Variant "Best 2D Video" select MP4 over MKV and WEBM.

When disabling MP4 completely, JD will switch to WEBM (even though MKV is available and earlier in the list). Even when MP4 is the last option in the list, it will still be preferred as "highest quality filetype".

Disabling MP4 completely will make JD choose WEBM oder MKV, again ignoring the Quality Sort Order. Disabling both WEBM and MP4, makes MKV the default. But I don't want to exclude MP4 and WEBM in general.

The other Sort options seem to work as expected.

Steps to reproduce:
* Remove "MP4" from the sort order list (which will append it to the end of the list)
* Add any youtube video to the linkgrabber
* With "Best 2D video" variant enabled, still MP4 format will be regarded as "best filetype" and selected as default

Enabling the "Best MKV" Variant does give me a mkv version, but it seems that it's impossible to have MKV as the default.

Hello

I'm using JD on a server with MYjdownloader and I would like to know it it's possible to do some magic with resolutions.

I would like to have a default 1080p for automatic download, but with the possibility to change the resolution to 2160p with the "change variant" menu for specific videos.

I have played a bit with the settings but I can't find if that is possible to achieve
Any idea ?

Use a JD version with GUI, select your desired settings under Settings -> Plugins -> YT and then copy them to your myjd installation using the advanced settings.

Testing this morning with yesterday's update. Still have the problem, seems to be still happening with all the files I try.

Maybe related? Vanced seems to finally have stopped working today. (Though it was fine last night)

@IanWorthington: sounds to me that the cause of the issue is with your setup/network/environment. the log shows that the connections are killed and hearing that other apps have issues too, but no similiar reports from others, I would say the issue is on your side.

Well, that's certainly possible of course. Though everyone and their dog is reporting that vanced is broken today, And that, of course, is on Android, not windows, and away from the home network, so does, I think, indicate that YouTube have changed something.

I'll see if I can do a wireshark trace later today.

@IanWorthington: I don't know about vanced but short read through reddit, it looks like the app is now being blocked. But also looks like updates are already available to make it working, at least there are some reddit posts about this
