I have been getting relatively slow download speeds. I recently got a new ISP, and my maximum download speed is supposed to be 500 Mbps, which is 62.5 MBps. However, with Youtube links, my current download speed is only 10-11 MBps.

Hey everyone,

Since some time, I can't seem to successfully download any YouTube videos anymore with JDownloader 2 (on my MacBook Pro). Even when I download normal .mp4 files (and I see the preview image in Finder), I can't open it with any program, e.g., when I try to open it with QuickTime there's just the opening animation but then nothing happens.

I tried it also on a second MBP but I have the same issues there. Anyone else also experiencing this?

Well, leaving this here in case someone else has the same problem, at least they'll know to try a VPN to see if it fixes it.

That browser plugin I mentioned in the original message below just put out a major update for this stated reason:
"Now supports the latest Youtube code changes which broke dowloading functionality."
So, this confirms that Youtube's update yesterday was the reason for the momentary issue. Something to keep an eye on it seems.

Just a heads up.
I don't know if this is true of other US ISPs, but for me YouTube just (as in this morning) started blocking downloads, at least for some videos, though I can still watch the videos on Youtube from the US. But to download them, I need my VPN. This isn't just true for JDownloader either, but also my browser plugin that can download Youtube videos. That also doesn't work anymore unless I use my VPN. Interestingly, I could still download the subtitle files with JDownloader without a VPN, but not the videos.

hi. Has Google recently tried to kick you out of your account and perform identity verification? it's just that the only two applications that had access to the Google account are the browser and jdownloder2, because of youtube video downloading. google says that malware is suspected on my device, but I don't have anything like that. I'm not some kind of YouTuber to steal my account and arrange fake bitcoin giveaways on it or whatever is popular there now... so if there is some kind of paranoid trend on the part of Google right now. please tell me.

Hallo,
ich habe ein Problem. Wenn ich in den Linksammler eine komplette Playlist einfüge (rechte Maustaste- Playlist Link kopieren- auf Process Playlist klicken) dann wird seit neusetem nicht mehr die Playlistposition bzw die Videonummer im Dateinamen gespeichert. Die Playlists werden einfach alphabetisch ohne Nummern gespeichert.

In den Einstellungen fürs YT Plugin habe ich unter der Vorschrift wie Audiodateien gespeichert werden folgendes eingetragen:
*PLAYLIST_NAME* *VIDEONUMBER* *PLAYLIST_POSITION* *VIDEO_NAME* .*EXT*
Ich habe *VIDEONUMBER* und *PLAYLIST_POSITION* eingetragen um zu gucken welche Eintragung funktioniert.

Wie macht ihr das?
Kann mir jemand bei mein em Problem helfen bzw. es lösen.

Es ist bei allen Pllaylists die ich einfüge.
Hier Beispiele die ich dusprobiert habe wo ws auf jeden Fall nicht klappt.

Genau diesen String sollst du hier als Text posten und nicht als Bild.
