jDownloader stops downloading due to Mac sleeping
jDownloader 2 stops downloading when Mac is NOT manually set to sleep via "Apple - Sleep" but "Apple - System Preferences - Energy Saver - Power - Turn display off after 1 min" is selected and "- Prevent your Mac from automatically sleeping when the display is off" is NOT selected on macOS 12.6.2 (21G320) Monterey on Intel Mac.
It would be great if jDownloader AUTOMATICALLY prevented by DEFAULT the Mac going to sleep ALWAYS when something is downloading, UNTIL all downloads finish. Even better: it would be great if jDownloader WARNED if the user selects "Apple - Sleep" or the user or any process (like application installer or macOS installer) tries to log out, restart or shut down the Mac while jDownloader is downloading. BTW, jDownloader 2 (jDownloader 2 - About jDownloader 2) does not show version for the full application on Mac. It would be useful if it did, even if virtual or "fabricated" (since it has several modules). For instance, version 2.7.3, or whatever. Other option could be using the date. For instance, jDownloader 2.2023.1.3a (version 2 released today: year 2023, month 1 = January, day 3 first release = a), using b, c, d, etc if more than one version is released in a particular day. That would be great to know the exact version of jDownloader being used for troubleshooting. I am amazed that so far that or something similar has not been implemented. While doing it, please allow to copy such version to paste elsewhere, like this forum. Thanks! Last edited by jDoX; 03.01.2023 at 11:31. |
