You mean self extracting .zip/.rar archives?
Any examples?

You could already do that using an EventScripter script.

@Rickz: Highly depends on sevenzipjbinding having support for embedded archives or not. Please provide examples

I have a similar problem with archives without a fileextension. After rename it to rar it works fine.

@Rickz: I think what can be done *easily* would be support like following.
JDownloader checks on exe if it contains inner archive (eg rar) and then allows the extraction of it and deep extraction will then also extract the inner archive. That way single part and multipart archives can be supported. You download exe file. JDownloader detects inner archive and then extracts it. then detects new archive and deep extraction then extracts this archive as well.

I would start this feature with *looking into* exe/sfx files only. It should cover 99,99% of the use cases
