Default Mega.nz Redownload support for unresumable case

Debug log: 10.08.20 19.23.00 <--> 10.08.20 19.24.01 jdlog://7068125302851/

Any link should work, if not, no link would do.
here's one anyway: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (More detailed links are obtainable from the log)

This is a spin-off of issue https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=84972

Edit: I mean't automatically re-download, if resume is not possible. I can manually do it tho.

Hi,

1. Please always provide plain example URLs - not URLs hidden behind shorteners/crypter/captchas.

2. Resume is working fine here.
Your log shows MEGA download attempts via real-debrid.com.
Please try again without using real-debrid and/or disable the usage of MEGA over multihoster by adding an account usage rule.
MEGA is a free host and it makes no sense to download MEGA URLs via multihoster (premium) accounts ...

-psp-
EDIT

Found the cause of your issue:

The MEGA file was started via rea-debrid and then JD tried to resume via original MEGA plugin directly which is not possible --> Either reset such URLs or make account usage rules to either force JD to always use the same multihoster account for MEGA downloads or prohobit JD from ever downloading MEGA URLs via multihoster --> Problem solved.

Also, I've updated the errormessage which will now e.g. look like this:
Code:
Resume impossible! Either resume via: real-debrid.com or reset and start from scratch!
or:
Code:
Resume impossible! Either resume via previously used multihost or reset and start from scratch!

I've added a plugin setting for all users who want JD to auto start from scratch in this situation:

I've also created a ticket regarding spaste.com and unsupported hcaptcha:

Okay, this solves this issue. Thank you so much. <3

But there is still a question tho... Why it was trying to resume using a different hoster? I mean I had bandwidth left in 2 of 3 accounts (1 mega free was finished but 1 mega premium and 1 real-debrid premium). So, my question is this, if it downloaded first part using real-debrid why not finish it up with real-debrid since I have bandwidth left there why use mega and say not possible?

P.S. it's a false reporting the first part was downloaded via mega and I can confirm you that. (I could just send you the log of previous session if I knew it somehow changes the report but I cant now, I forgot the session). I think this false reporting is linked to this Issue as well; https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=84972

The log from other issue is large, so you might be able to check and find at which point it changes the report (initial downloading hoster).

You're misunderstanding the issue here so I'll try to explain again:
1. The issue will happen when a MEGA download is started via multihost (e.g. in your case real-debrid.com) and stopped for whatever reason and then gets tried to be resumed directly via MEGA.
This is exactly what happened here.

2. Why was JD unable to resume via real-debrid?

Short answer:
Multihosts are unreliable - see also our multihost troubleshooting guide.

Long answer:
The better question would be "why did the download stop in the first place"?
Did you stop it?
Anyways - you asked for the detailed reason and here it is:
According to your log, real-debrid returned the following error upon download request:
Code:
{
	"error": "hoster_not_free",
	"error_code": 20
}
This happened multiple times in a row until JD "gave up" and tried via MEGA directly.
See the real-debrid AI documentation for more details on errorcode 20:
api.real-debrid.com
--> According to your log, this real-debrid account is a FREE account and it seems like MEGA is unsupported via real-debrid free account (?)
---> For more info, please contact the real-debrid support.

-psp-
EDIT

Hmm appearently, real-debrid free accounts cannot be used to download anything ... at least not in JD.
The host list of real-debrid free accounts is supposed to be empty ...

Okay, thanks for your time and effort to make me understand I really appreciate it.

But, then let me ask this diffrently, why download 'started via multihost' ? when I've set account usage rule to 1. mega no account 2. mega free account + mega pro account 3. multihoster.
When option 2 was already available (942GB left in mega pro)?

Sorry I don't understand - please post a screenshot of your account usage rule here.
Again: Why do you want to download from MEGA via multihost? This doesn't make any sense to me ...

Just add a rule, disable multihost download for MEGA and you will never experience this issue again.

No idea why JD would still try to download via multihoster account with this rule.
EDIT Sure that is possible - if e.g. the limit of MEGA is reached.

If you want you can clear your logs, add some MEGA URLs and post a log ... or, as said, just turn off all multihost accounts for MEGA URLs.
I recommend, turning off all multihosts for MEGA so that JD will always only try to download directly from MEGA.

Well, then can you make real-debrid free accounts disable? So that it doesn't try to use it at all? Thanks!

The host list was already empty for free accounts but I've added the following changes for the next update:
- RD Free accounts won't show an expire-date anymore
- RD Free accounts will get displayed with 0 traffic left

Hope it's OK to use this topic, I think this is a related problem. I have the same error ("Resume impossible! Either resume via previously used multihost or reset and start from scratch!") with mega.nz except I've never used a multihost. I didn't even know what a multihost was before I found this topic.

My host settings:
https://i.imgur.com/6R9jW3Q.png
(it's just 1 account for mega.co.nz)

Here's my log. Sorry if it's a lot to sift through, I wasn't sure which parts would be relevant.

I had the same error using alldebrid.com with mega.co.nz then I created a rule not to use alldebrid for that host, and I was able to resume the download !

@entretoize: do you remember if you started with mega or alldebrid before the issue happened?
It should work fine out of the box, so would be great to know how to reproduce the issue

if you are still trying to reproduce the unresumable issue for mega, maybe i can help.

here is all i need to do encounter it:

start any mega download directly from mega.

exit jdownloader while the download is in progress.

restart jdownloader after some unknown period of time (24 hour is definitely long enough, but 5 minutes is not long enough).

that download will fail to resume with the 'resume impossible!' message.

resetting progress on the download will allow it to immediately begin downloading.

if it helps, i'm using 1 chunk per download and 1 simultaneous download, with 1 free mega account.
