If you want to use newer/recent JVM versions you have several options:
1.) you can rename/delete the jre/java folder in your JDownloader folder, then JDownloader launcher will use the system installed JVM (check about 32/64 bitness). You can check in About dialog of JDownloader. You can't use 32bit launcher with 64bit JVM or vice versa. 2.) You can backup/create copy(https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...-configuration) of cfg folder and then uninstall JDownloader and install newer(newer/recent JVM bundled) version from here https://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2 and then restore/copy back the complete cfg folder (do not migrate/merge but replace it) 3.) you can replace content of the jre/java folder in your JDownloader folder with newer/recent JVM version. Pay attention to 32/64bit bitness and also (depending on the age of your installation/launcher) this will only work with Java 1.8. Only newer launchers (see 2) are supporting newer JVM versions 4.) You can safely use any JVM version, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...bedded-devices 5.) I will think about easy way of upgrading to newer JVM in 2021
