I've noticed a significant change in file size of my monthly backup (File -> Backup -> Backup all settings). After looking at the file, it seems that this is due to file compression rather than an error. Were there any recent feature changes that would cause this? I just want to make sure that no data is lost if I delete my older backups.

Jiaz has recently optimized loading/saving of these lists - this may have lead to that change in size.

You could simply test it by backing up your complete JD folder and then try to use one of the backup files and check if anything is missing.

I took a look at the source code and indeed, in BackupCreateAction.java the compression method for each ZipEntry is now set to deflated. It's all good then, thank you.
