plugin misses parts if server is slow
If the server is slow - which happend a few times the last few days - the JDownloader link collector sometimes misses parts. For example, if you add a file with 10 parts, it might only add 8 or 9 parts to the link collector. There is no indication of a missing part, nothing is added as offline. Only if you try to add the links to the download list the warning about missing parts is shown.
When this happens the server is usually so slow that it takes 10-20 seconds for each part to show up in the link collector. This might be hard to reproduce in real world tests, but with a few well placed sleeps in the code it should be possible. If the problem happens, I use the click-n-load button on the site itself as a workaround. That brought me to an idea: Why does JDownloader request each part with a seperate request? Couldn't it just parse the click-n-load HTML form parameters out of the page to get all parts with a single request? This would not only prevent the bug but also increase the performance of JDownloader and reduce the load on the server. Last edited by Jiaz; 14.04.2016 at 19:01. |
